Default 2wd buggy esc motor combo

hey guys I'm going to run 2wd off road for the first time after previously running mostly 12th oval and gt indoors. so to get some experience In I didn't want to go with any mega speed motor so I have put In an etronics photon sensorless 13.0 motor and esc with a vapextech 2s 30c 5000 Mah lipo.

will this setup be ok for learning on or will it be too underpowered? ?

im hoping to go to the grass track at Braxted.

That should be fine for learning at Braxted, and you can always tweak the speedo or motor timing if they allow for a bit extra if you need it.

Braxted has a good straight for 1/10th (imo), so you may find yourself being overtaken often by the faster drivers. But since your learning, this shouldn't matter.

As you lap times get nice and consistent and the crash rate is nice and low, then drop down to something like a 9.5 and start learning again with the extra speed/power. Then go lower again as the skill / confidence increases.

At the end of the day, its up to you what you choose to use. Give the 13 a try as you have it, and see how you go. Doesn't take long to order and get a new motor :-) Just a few months till racing at Braxted starts up again.
