Default charging and storing lipos

Hello Everyone

Have you seen all of the publicity following Ed Kerry's lipo fire.

Everyone should be very careful how they charge and store their lipos.

Also has the club considered how they would deal with a battery fire if we had one at Seaham.

Does the BRCA insurance cover us for an event like this and would they or their insurers investigate to see what measures were in place to mitigate loss. Would committe, club member be held liable?

Neil, I am wondering about the wisdom of using batteries that have swelled. Is there any limit or guidance from the BRCAl. Hmm!!

Keith

New dimensions are listed in the approved battery list so cells can be compared to that.

When racing 1/12th scale indoors, we have buckets of sand which should be poured over a LiPo fire.
