Hello,
Has anyone tried to use Kyosho velvet shocks on a xx4? I have an extra set and wondered if anyone had tried this. Thanks Jeff |

Not to sure why you would want to try them really, the xx4 is no doubt the best car over rough stuff. Surely the losi shocks are proven through this

Your right they are very good. So my issue was I needed parts for the losi shocks. I could not get the part for it in time for the weekend. I did try the shocks on the rear and they were very nice. I almost think they are better really. I have the parts to fix the original shocks now so I will keep playing. The shocks don't seem to have enough travel for the car however. was why I asked the original question. Thanks Jeff |

The Losi shocks are good (ages better than Associated), but I'm leaning towards the latest gen of Kyosho, Tamiya, and Yokomo shocks being the best available now. The XX4 is great handling car, not because of the shocks, but because of the geometry - which ironically uses TRUCK rear shocks (1.2"). So if you want to use Kyosho shocks in the rear, you'll have to wait for that RT-5...

I did find that the shocks were short. I had no down travel at all. It did get me past the weekend however. I admit it was not a good result. I have since received the parts for the losi shocks and I am going today to get another set so this does not happen again.
