Default dBoots multibyte for dusty astro Grass track 2wd

Hi has Anyone tried the dBoots Mutibyte for dusty astro grass track with any sucess. I am looking to see if they wear less than the yellow mini spikes and provide more forward traction on exit.

Thanks

I haven't tried them on astro, but I can imagine they're kind of chunky for astroturf. I think for performance they're more suited to grass and soft dirt (on soft dirt they work awesome because they well and truly dig in).

Anyway, it is worth trying: I found the A compound to be pretty hard wearing so far.

I use the multibyte B compound on a mix of very short astro and grass... On the last couple of weekends it has been very dry and as the grass wears I found these tyres give me more grip and especially push out of corners. Wear rate seems better than yellow mini spikes as well....they suit me and I think well worth a try..

We use these at SHRCCC which is astro all over. We use the B compound for wet weather only as they wear very quick in the dry. Some people use the A compound in the dry but most stick with the schumacker pins or spikes.

They work really well on batley track in dry and damp conditions and indeed have much more drive out of corners on the worn areas of grass.
They are good on the astro as well.
In 2wd I use a answer medium foam insert.
I use the A compound. they last much longer than minispikes.
I still use a SCHUMACHER cut stagger on the front though as this gives good balance.

I use medium inserts but have only used the softer b compound tyre...which I think is very good on my C4.1 at Batley.. Must try the A compound though !

I found the Schumacher blocks to work well for me at Batley. Way more grip on the grass but slightly less on astro. Wear rate is crazy though. Prolly last months!

Hey Sammy I've used the multibytes at Batley, the 'A' compound are the ones to go for. Inserts either Answer Blues or Schumacher tubbies.

Some of the A-finalist are runnng 8.5 with the timing is boosted. oil's on motor is boosted or he wouldn't be as quick. My speedo a tekin rs pro cannot do as much boosting (it will do some) as the the newer ones so there would be no benefit in going to anything slower than a 8.5.

The main issue for me is the tyre wear and the tyres going off as they get too hot.

Why do you say it can't do much boost? You can set as much or as little as you need with the hotwire. I'll have it with me at Batley on Sunday, if you want me to show you, or check your current settings.

Ollie runs a bog standard Reedy RTR system. 3300kv motor with Reedy esc..
No timings, no boost nothing...just a nice smooth system.....almost as fast as my LRP 8.5T but smoother..
