Default NW Regional..

Had a good day yestersay, met Tom and Ian, fellow pred drivers and Stu also.. nice to meet you guys

Qualified 9th in the A and finished 3rd so well happy with how the cars going.. just need more practice to get back to being quick and smooth..

Had a couple of breakages.. rear lower wishbone, where it meets the ball end... and the front suspension push rod lower ball end...

On Stu suggestion i took the rear shocks to bits last night and opened up the single hole in the pistons last night and refilled with 30wt.. hopefully to stop it "bobbleing" about.. on the table the damping feels like an improvement

Cheers

Nick

Nick,

Was that with the kit std pistons? I've opened my 'hole' upto the size of a Losi orange front and rear

My current setup is on here from Southport.

Not the way he saves it up.
When G needs to go, it's a case of in the pot now or it's in his strides.

How much did you open it up by - a tiny, tiny bit will make all the difference.

Pick the back end if the car up untill it's at about 45 degrees, then drop it. The chassis should come close* to bottoming out, but not hit the table, certainly not hard.

* - just how close this should be is open to debate - depends on track type and personal preference.

I tiny, tiny bit indeed.. hardley took anything out, after i did the first one i put it next to the 2nd piston and you could hardley tell..

Hopeing to go to Bury again on sunday, so will report back and let you know if its cured the " bobbleing " lol!!

Ive ordered a few more bits for the pred, including some of the new pistons just in case..

Cheers

Nick
