What good motor replacements are there for the mini 8.
I'm Not bothered about more power and just want a direct drop in motor that will work with my ezrun25a...
Size is important as I have esc between motor and servo which just fits with a 1mm gap between stock motor,,,

tbh, there arnt many motors much better than the kit motor and the kit motor works on my ezrun 25a, 35a and 60a esc's

Totally agree, std motor on 18 pinion with decent lipo plenty fast enough

Yes stock motor is good but mine suffers a bit from cogging at slow acceleration

Then there is something wrong with your setup somewhere.

Mine dosn't cog at slow acceleration, neither do anyone at my clubs

Changing BL motors won't change a thing, when the problem isn't your motor.

Nope using new 1800mah 2cell lipos ...
The car had cogging issues new out of the box ,, I changed the esc to the ezrun which is loads better but I still get a bit of cogging with slow gentle acceleration .....
So what else in my set up would cause this then ???

bear in mind its a sensorless system,i have known slight cogging with reverse enabled
or out of date firmware on the esc ,but it really is only at crawling speed and is never a problem when racing,
cogging is from the esc not the motor

Yep your absolutely right, I only get this at crawling speed on initial stick input , once it's moving its not a problem, and it dosnt affect me when racing...
Just out of interest I quickly plugged the stock esc back in and it's 20 times worse, so yes it's more than lightly down to the esc.
It really is minimal but it's there , it's annoying me and I want to get rid of if I can , so a sensored motor could cure any cogging

yes it would, but you would need the esc to match,the way i look at it if the majority of national drivers use
Ezrun sensorless including this years champ and the last two then its good enough for me
