Heres a 'stiched up' picture of last years track, i really enjoyed the layout.. the tarpaulin is VERY good.. i'd go as far as saying it is better than wooden flooring.

picture was taken the night before so the mats were missed out.. ive added text saying where they were

Just confirming that we will be constructing an 8 foot high, by 12 foot wide wall of death for the GP. Sweetend the idea of coming?

Interested in doing this event, never raced indoors before. What tyres are best and also what sort of motor, normal 10T or something milder like a 12T or even a 19T?

Tyres are normally schumacher mini pins (yellow)

And you can run any motor you like it is what you feel comfortable with less than what everyone else is running.

But what sort of motor is recommended for indoors? Never raced indoors before, don't know what the grip is like.

yo dude,

mini pins work well at most indoor venues, and are the faster tyre. Although it will be hard work on the tarpaulin with them. Mini spikes will work, but will be slower on the carpet, but will be slightly easier on the tarpaulin.. I reccomend yellow mini pins however.

Motors, a 12 turn is easily more than enough for the size of track, a 10 will work, but youl get the best out of a 12!

The carpet is quite high grip, and the tarpaulin is very low grip, a nice mixture all round!

I am attending this event after a break from buggy racing for around 10-15 years . I am really looking forward to it, all the different surfaces, jumps, and wow.. a wall of death ! I am so excited I could....... well...... yes i could!.. lol.
Look forward to meeting some new people, and a very very steep learning curve! Bring it on!
