Hobbywing V2 intermittent no reverse

I have a Hobbywing V2.1 120a esc in my DB01R with a strange problem, every now and again the reverse will not engage and sometimes it works correctly. I have the same speedo in my 201 which is about six months newer and never had the same problem.

Any ideas would be great or a fix would be even better.
