Default Anyone using the DEX410 DJoint shafts?

I have some worn driveshafts on a DEX410 2010Spec (esp. the rear) and was wondering if the DJoint kit is a worthy upgrade? Anyone using the set?

If you look about 1/2 way down this report you will see that Hupo does use the DJoints while Jorn doesn't seem to:

Does one need to shrink-wrap the joints to keep the pins in the shafts?

Lastly, do you need the original outdrives for the kit of the newer longer ones?

Thanks for the help!

I've been running a set for about 4 or 5 weeks. Car is smoother, quieter and *seems* to accelerate quicker (that might just be the new shiny toy syndrome tho)
Don't think you need to put heat shrink round them, i have, but so far, none of the grub screws or pins have shifted.

And they just dropped straight into my 410R with no issues (and will drop straight into the 2010 i have too, once i buy another set.)

I don't know if its a worthwhile upgrade exactly, as they are v.expensive, but if you a) have the cash spare and b) need a new set anyway. Go for it.

I got mine from Tower, with a bulk discount and a voucher, so only paid about £40 a set in the end (bought a set for OneKiwi as well, he may have more to add)

Mine are well over a seaon old, I renew the pins every couple of months so have have minimal wear. The standard ones cause vibration due the the excessive angle the run at and wear really quick. So in the long run they are well worth it.

The car does run smoother and it's alot quieter, best upgrade you could buy IMO.

Oh, as an aside, testing back to back seemed to let the motor run a *bit* cooler, only 5 degrees or so, and the "testing" i did wouldn't stand up to close scrutiny. But a fairly repeatable 75-80 degrees after 10 minutes dropped to 70-75...... ish.

My drivings probably not repeatable enough to use this as "data", more like an interesting anecdote.........
