Ladies and gents,

As some of you may be aware, Jimmy`s camera was recently wounded in the line of duty, whilst taking pictures for our beloved site.

To get the fantastic pictures we are so used to seeing takes more than the kind of trinket you`d find in a Xmas cracker as im sure most will appreciate.

The figure for repair runs into four figures. A lot of cash for anyone to find, even more so considering no money is made from this site.

Thanks to DJ Kirky and the generosity of the oOplers who attended the oOple Dirt race, roughly a quarter of the repair cost was raised at that one event

Those who know Jimmy, know he’s a proud gent who would never ask for assistance off his own back. That’s the reason Im taking it upon myself to do this post.

The work horse we all take for granted is currently out of action until funds are available to sort it.

Anyone who has ever sold anything on oOple really owes it to the site to chip in if only a little. Donations are purely voluntary and are anonymous too so don’t be afraid if you can only afford a couple of quid. It all helps.

With 17000 members if only a small percentage contribute then we will soon have the camera fixed and back in action.
