Since rpm is an american company the make them for the associated size ballstuds.

so good on kyosho shaft ( turnbuckle ) but not on ballstud.

I might bee wrong but the associated ballstuds looks a bit smaller then the kyosho dito.

If you have kyosho ballstuds why dont use the UM-112 or the UM-112H wich are Harder . But then the color is wrong i´ll guess.

Default My weighted ZX

Guys,

I've finally done it and worked out how to weigh the car properly.

I've added the cell hole Zeppin brass plates (15g each totaling 90g) and now after a bit of dremelling I have managed to fit two Rude tony brass weights for the Lazer ZX-5 FS (40g x 2 totaling 80g) and due to the carbon fibre centre chassis plate having a bit of space they slot in perfectly and also moves the weight more inline by 3mm on either side of my Lipo tray sides hecne why I used blue foam tape. Basically with the three TRF511 centre chassis plates as well plus the Lipo saddles it all adds up to the same weight as the NIMH so should work well.

Oh yeah before I forget I did have to raise the top deck by 1.5mm so I could still attach my batt connectors on the Lipos.

Testing tomorrow to see if its as good as it looks.

Ema, it fits nicely as you can see and the contact surface is more than the standard ZXR hyper clutch so should be up to the job.

I will update on Friday on what I have tested.

Ive just brought a few of these from Neil @ RW Racing, and i can say they are great ! Anyone who wants to have a nice, adjustable slipper that can handle the power on the ZXR without resorting to the ZXRR/ZXS slipper clutch just buy these from RW Racing. Great design from James that.

Im back onto a few of my Lazer projects, got a period team ZXR Mk2 with Wasp Chassis and a Kyosho Team Triumph on the go as well now...

Dyna - Matt,

Cheers mate, much appreciated. You should have seen my car go last night with the added brass plates and of course the new spur with zx slipper system. It was superb!! Almost there with the original setup that I used successfully in the 90's. Felt easy to drive and I could place it almost anywhere I wanted. I annoyed Speed Freeek with that several times last night, passed him just for the sake of it at almost every place on the track which was quite funny.

The only issue I now have is the bearings are beyond keeping as they are well and truly worn out as the front slop is half of what the trf511 has but is far too much for this car so am going to get some new bearings, possibly the blue covered ones as it looks much nicer.

Will also get around to redesigning that front half circular mount as it needs reinforcing a bit.

The 12 holes are for the zx slipper system without the associated pads, but for you the pads and plates and spring system. Im still using the standard bushing that came with the kit and is in the centre of the spur.

ahhh, so if i understand this correctly, the 4x8 bearing is for the hole in the centre of the spur and i dont use any bearings in the other 12 holes on the spur as i will be using the associated slipper pads instead,.. correct?........thanks for a reply

Yes, if using a zx slipper then i posted pictures on page 76 with the spur fitted with pads and the two big metal washer slipper plates.

Zxr mk1 is simple to fit with the sc10 extra torque slipper pad an a picture is on here somewhere and is my prefered option and what i used a template for the spur. Any shop should be able to order it.
