I think you've hit it spot on there. As others have already said, it's not for me. The reason for this is I think this can style can add an interesting element to a design, but I don't think it works when it's only done like this, for me on this one you've over done it. If you want only this, lessen it for a better effect, or personally I think it needs to be incorporated into part of a very bold race design so it becomes one element in a much bigger scheme. That's just my opinion though and if you love it as it is there's nothing wrong with leaving it like that

Thanks Ian,
I was just having a playaround with the effects.
It needs to be part or a full design I think.

I have a few ideas for the next shell, I'm just looking
to do something different. It's hard to paint your own shell!
I think I'm going to get you to do mine

LOL I'm not sure why but I quite like it , I suppose it really is a case of a marmite body.

I really like the grunge effect, If you look at the stuff that Bittydesign does, he's got it nailed!

I'm going to go back to my origional design I reckon!

Bitty does indeed have it nailed. However Random is the most difficult thing to do and make it look right, you need to practice a lot, I've done it on a few and they came out okay ( sorry, no I can't show you any pictures because the person who owns the bodies is fed up of his scheme getting copied so is very particular about it not being shown on line ).

It's a very fine line between not enough when it just looks like a mistake and going too heavy with an effect when it looks too much, there is a such a slim window to get it right it in but keep practicing and develop your own way of doing it, if you look at the bitty stuff you can tell it's theirs because of how it's done even before you see their logo. You need to develop that for yourself.

Todays!

Its going in the FS section, There is a green fade in the yellow, But the camera is not showing it very well.

Got a busy week of shells this week, so keep an eye out.
