Hi Peeps, status on the weather, we have had snow but even the small roads are totally clear, so getting to us should be no trouble at all. No more snow forecast for this area until Tuesday.

Like the confidence :-) Booking in closes at 09:10 sharp, so plenty of time to get there. Others please note (Not Dave as he's awesome), if you are in Heat one you will be racing at 09:30 so bear that in mind in your preparation.

Also dress warm, you can always take layers off if you get too hot. ;-)

IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE: The Mini-Z championship is running late therefore practice is available free of charge to those willing to hang on, wait and help with the track. We aim to close at 23:00 this evening so if we finish the track at 21:00 you would still be able to get 2 hrs practice. Very sorry about this, the date clash was due to a change of calendar with the BRCA 12th section, all other rounds the track will be available all day Saturday with no other interruptions.

Thanks for an ace day yesterday.. really enjoyed the track..

Only point i'd like to make, is if at all possible more heaters/blowers are defo required.

If we have temperatures like we did yesterday at the petit race in janurary its going to be hard work..

Are you planning on sorting something?

Cheers

Nick

Personally, i'd like to know what the surface is going to be for the forthcoming rounds in advance. I travelled up expecting high(ish) grip carpet to test some things on the car but high grip was obviously not what was on offer. I, for one, would have made plans to go elsewhere if i'd known that the surface was going to be all wooden flooring. Would have been fine to have a couple of sections of that, i'm all for mixed surfaces, but not all of it. Not very interesting in my opinion but i'm sure there were people who loved it, just not for me i'm afraid.

Carpeting the floor would have warmed it up a bit Nic

I thought the heating did pretty well considering my car showed -10C in the village, just before i got to the track in the morning. So pretty extreme weather, if it was 5 or 10 degs warmer it would of been toastie inside

Did not like the wooden floor at all, so i hope we return to some carpet for the next one, but did like the big jump in front of the rostrum lol.

Much preferred the track surface this time around.

Slippy surface indoor events are few and far between now, so it made a real good change to the carpet.

Would be an idea to advise what surface is being used before the event though.

Any idea what surface will be next? Maybe ship a load of dirt it? Lol

Was pretty chilly!

I think someone said for the next event they might be painting the floor with high grip stuff, paint with grit/sand in it i think. Don't know if this is for defo though hopefully someone will confirm.
