It doesn't look like it Steve, the extra bracing on the sides would raise the cells too high.

A stick will fit across (just), but it would as pete says have to sit on top of the braces. So not brilliant, but it wasn't designed for them. Securing them would be difficult. Have a look at daves' car steve and you'll see what i mean.
I believe there is a narrow shell in the making so when you run the car with the side pods off, it ill be a nice snug fit. ![]()

So, the chassis is wide enough, thats all I am interested in, if I find a XXX CR CHEAP enough, I could well be tempted!!

He is away with you guys this weekend, isn't he? I am sure it could be 'adapted' to take sticks too, as it isn't the same sort of mass that the old 'NiMH' packs.

if you go mid-motor and try to use a stick pack, you'll need to file the insides of the chassis a little.

I must admit, for the 4th round my car was very good. I had changed my car every run during the day to try and make the most of the conditions and for the final round and the final itself the car was ace. That setup will defo be staying on there for stotfold. Cant wait for it now ![]()

Guys,
I'm building an XXXCR up from scratch to use (my CR2 arrived today). D I build in the following manner or am I missing anything? 1. Build whole front end, just on NT front kick up rather than CR. No other differences between the kickups? Then attach to CR2 chassis. 2. Same with rear end except use the CR2 rear plate rather than the kit one? Then gearbox/shock tower assembly just drops in backwards? Does anything else need reversing on the assembly other than the wing mounts? Everything else exacty as per XXXCR instructions? 3. Where is the shock tower spacer (very thin small piece of carbon with a single hole) used? 4. Do people keep the stock XXXCR driveshafts on the losi kit, or change them for something a bit more blingy?? Any other hopups on the losi side that are well worth it? Cheers! |

Having not built one from scratch dave i can't gaurantee this is right.
All sounds good to me and the carbon spacer goes under the lowest point on the rear tower/brace assembly touching the chassis. You will see the gap when viewed from the rear. My car has no extras apart from lead and a front wing and its grrrrreat
