How long does it take on a BJ4? Schumacher one is one screw and bobs your uncle.

its only 2 screws on a bj4. an u can always change them to use body clips to make it even faster if u so wished, im sure it will be a test of endurance not who can change a set cells the fastest

You've got to admit, he has a point there, that custom cutout fibreglass retainer you used sat night isn't as per Schumacher intended. You wouldn't want it to look like you were tailoring the rules around your car would you!

OK, my bad, I worded it wrong. Did it quick at work.

The intention of this rule is to stop people mounting lipos on the wing, top deck, outside of the shell etc.....

As long it is in the position intended, that is fine.

This rule actually slows down our battery changes anyway fellas

EDIT: Just so everyone knows this rule clarification came from Derek after I asked him about how we were going to mount our cells on Saturday night.

so we are not allowed to run a shell with cut outs etc but we are allowed to use half a shell to aid with cooling?
And now we can use any form of battery retainer as long as the cells are roughly where the manufacturer intended ?

Lee, this is not supposed to complicate things, it is supposed to stop people hacking about perfectly good cars/chassis just for one event
