So here's whats happening:

When - Every Wednesday starting Wednesday 20th Feb 2008
Location - Wrexham Model Car Club

Cost - £2 (First Night Free, so EVERYONE on the Wednesday races free!)
Catering - Cans, chocolate, crisps, tea & coffee all available

Their has been alot of interest in this at our club and we should have a good turn out.

All are welcome so please come along!!

Hello I've looked on the Wrexham model car club website it seems like it hasn't been updated in along time. Also people dont seem to know much about it anymore lack of information about alot of it.

I'm wandering whats going on with this Wrexham club. I've checked Mold and Oswestry car modeling clubs they seem to be up to date and better informed with whats going on with there clubs.

as far as I know this is the situation they race indoors on a friday night in bradly not too far from where the on road track is
but they have struk a deal with the new land owner of the location of the outdoor track and they are looking at running race meeting there this summer probably gonna be friday night and if there is enough interest maybe weekend meetings too
this is only what I have heard from people who go there
as for the other two clubs in the region mold is very quiet last winter and first few months of this year not no one has been turning up and with only 3 of us there it is more effort than ever to set up the track and put it away so we have had to call it a day if we can get definate yes,s of people turning up it will gladly be started up again

owestry is the most active club at the moment from what I can gather not been there for a long time due to a clash with other commitments but is an excellent club and probably best bet for off road

Hello Pete,
Can i just Start with saying currently, i'm on the commitee for wrexham model car club. It is indeed still running, though things have changed somewhat. The website that you've no doubt seen is the old site (which we have struggled unsuccesfully to get off the previous committe) hence a new basic website has been set up (www.wrexhammodelcarclub.webs.com).

Currently as RCDUNK says, we race indoors at Bradley Village Hall racing mardave V12's and Carisma's mainly, with the odd 12th or whatever people wish to bring as we can always fit you in!

For off road classes, i'd definately agree with Dunk that oswestry is more popular, but overall, the Wrexham club at present is certainly just as popular!!

It is true that we are currently in talks with the current outdoor track owner (the track on the industrial estate), its pretty much certain that we will be racing there this upcoming outdoor season, however a few details need to be finalized as yet and i'm not at liberty to discuss them here at the moment.

If your interested in joining us for a friday nights racing (7-10) then come on down!

I really hope this comes off. I've been lucky enough to visit Wrexham with the BTCC and loved every trip there (the smell of cornflakes from the Kelloggs factory when you wake up on Sunday morning.... ) and the track layout is one of my favourites.

Good luck guys.
