My god that chrome looks amazing! I can't wait to get some of that stuff on my shells!

I've got some repro shells coming for my vintage runners and I'm seriously considering commissioning you to work your magic, rather than risking them with my own rather cack-handed airbrush skills that simply won't do them justice!

Recieved this one and love it, so may well request for a SV shell in same colours if I'm running the Durango going forward.

Me too Eric, I'm sending both my TBG Procat shell and my mate's DB01-R Baldre shell to RCS Graphic Worx. I've asked Jon for something retro this time... don't ask me to define retro... but Jon has something in mind... oh yes.

It's a pleasure to see every new shell he creates.

Jon,

remind me - what's the best thing to use to back your paint with? i.e. for scratch protection.

Just sprayed up another shell in Createx, but want to back it off correctly ready for some 'wear & tear'.

Was thinking a solvent based spray can (white) after the createx has been left for 48 hours?

Cheers

Andy
p.s. your shells are mint - something to aim for !! (in about another 50 shells time)

cool thanks for all the really posative feedback guys! really appreciated. brightens what is otherwise a very cold grey rainy day.

andy - i use plastikote super clear. spray in light layers so the solvents dont wrinkle the createx. like you say, make sure the paint is dried thoroughly.

i get mine from focus just down the road. any diy place should have it. or you can get it online. its about £5-7 a can but it goes quite a long way. i tend to put about 3-4 coats on a shell.
