There will be a whole load of different SCT's out fom Losi and HPI before the winter, even 4wd ones from Hobao and Jammin. I already have some ideas for a 4wd SCT using Associated parts.

if it gets popular, we will have to have 2wd and 2wd class!!! lol

They are good though, they look brilliant going round too, as they don't look like blobs going round!!

I think the beauty of the current SC class (2WD) is that the cars are not only ace to watch, but also reletively cheap?

I hope a huge influx of new cars and new drivetrains doesnt mean that companies will try and out do each other with parts and therefore bump their prices up?

SC is a great class though, Im really looking forwards to Friday at Caldicot as I hope there will be a big number of SC10's turning up for some sideways

Sideways is the future

we are running a full heat of sc10s at leo now every other friday night ( if all the local lads who have had them turned up we would have 2 heats :-) ) and we had 9 in one heat on the last friday ,,,,,, it was awesome, i am running an 8.5 in mine with no issues , maybe a tad too much power but its still fun to drive, i do get beaten by peeps running 19t so yes i could go faster with a slower motor but i bet my grin wouldnt be as big

I'm now unsure what to do with my Losi truck, was going to convert it into a SCT, but with all these others coming out it may just stay as an ST for now...

They are not spike they are GOOSEBUMPS and they gave YOU goosebumps when I ran you straight off track into rostrum BUT yes you did flip me 360 mid air lol. Only reason I had them on is that my stocks have got stripped wheels and waiting for new to arrive !! I think run what ever motor you can control so get a 13.5 in there MILZY boy......

I love running the truck outside, started the day only racing buggy. By the time Round 3 was running I just couldn't fight it any more and had to get out there with it.

They are great fun and looks like if we get the numbers we will run a Truck (SC10) class at COBRA throughout winter months indoor. Before I get shot down this will be an OPEN Truck so not only SC10's. Might have to get some bigger jumps made (DCM+)?? Don't think we need to put restrictions on each other as to what to do with the SC10 but the thought of seeing heats of 6 plus indoor is getting me excited......

Will get some pics on here once the indoor has started to wet the taste buds of all those psycho SC10 drivers, oops sorry open truck drivers

SM

Im going to ignore the top part of your post there and focus on the best news ive read so far this year- COBRA winter Truck racing!!! yeah baby- and i thought id end up getting a micro for the winter. that so cool im sure you will get the numbers for it

I think that's exactly what's going to happen, especially with the new HPI coming out - unless the manufacturers can agree.

at the moment it's spec racing at its very best - sunday at cobra was the closest RC car race I've ever seen, let alone been involved in. messing with tyres, trick suspension, 4wd will just ruin it all IMO. there also needs to be a voluntary motor limit - 8.5?

pure skill and nerve and setup should be what wins races - not who has the best tyres or whatever.

we've already got open classes for all the other formulae. It'd be lovely if it could be kept confined to the SC10 too, although that's not really practical!

I'm actually starting to disagree about the motor limit. These things can only go so fast and have very limited traction, so the faster the motor the slower you will go. It's all about finding the balance of power and driveability. If you go down the route of limiting the motors you will end up needing the best batteries money can buy to compete in a straight line. I run a 7.5 with shabberd Lipos and was matching 10.5s for speed at Talywain.

I can't help thinking the the more you control how fast the cars can go the more money people will spend to try and eek more performance.

I think that should be the only rule, kit tyres. Though not sure what will happen when other manufacturers get involved.

what about weight? i think there should be max weight limit

like 60g more than what the truck weights in RTR forum and no more

i think people adding 150 to the rear is just stupid

i also think 4wd CORR is stupid as well

regards to tyres maybe a controle tyre that can be used on all makes of trucks??

We gone from saying no PT to saying a control tire?

Why if its not competitive event!!

I think it should be a race (PT's in) but I've completely changed my thoughts on the SC10 stock thing and think if you can put a 6.5 in and get the power down GOOD SKILLS. To make scrutineering sensible yes a control tyre, max weight limit and BRCA Battery. All else goes

BUT THERE AGAIN WHO GIVES A SH8T WHAT I THINK

If we're going for a stock tyre approach I'll try out Millzy's SC10 wheels on my Losi and as long as the SC10 shell is wide enough I'll complete the conversion of my Desert Truck (I may even treat it to some oil in the shocks at the same time!)

Im just thinking that once we all know the rules we can then practise with the right tyres weight and go from there

its like when the micros kicked off and every one went to 11.2 lipo and foams and what have you- at club it was crazy spending money to keep up- once the rules came into play every one knew what they needed and it came back to driver skill

Absolutely agree with you but it kinda needs to be a gentlemens agreement and the 3 things I mentioned seem kinda managable at the present time.

What will Proline Bow ties be like indoor on carpet as many truck manufactures already use these as a hop up??

Wez can you get the ear to the floor and see if the ball is rolling on a SC10-4wd.

If there is I'll wait

Thinking of getting one of these just to ruin MICRO racing at club
