I think people will excuse a Lunchbox

Not a Tamiya, but I've wanted one of these for ages Clubman material?

Hmmm, are you sure people would not get uptight about it?

Scott.

He makes a good point!

It needed help from marshals on tight turns as it didn't have enough steering lock!

yes yes, that problem should be sorted. There was a flange behind the gearbox I was meant to cut out - thats what you get for not reading instructions

On a plus note, it ran well on the faster sections

It was a Shamta Ray.

Basically an FF01 but with Manta Ray chassis, body, wishbones and buggy tyres.

If you have a look in the "FF01 meets Manta Ray" thread there are a couple of photos.

Will be running it again this friday

Might be an idea to discuss it with other clubman drivers
Some of the cars are a little more delicate than others.

That's a good point, the TL01 is surviving Clubman. But I stopped racing it with modern touring cars as it would break each and every time it came into contact with one.

I'm starting to get the sense that this could turn into a my car is crappier than yours competition.

I do like that though! Mardave made 3 wheelers too. They can't be much slower round the track than the FWD buggy was

I saw one going around Ardent once. They also look really cool with a Caterham shell.

Don't judge the Shamta Ray until I've had chance to test the new steering, its just doing the opposite of what the TL01 did

Chris, when I looked last Friday, the Shamta Ray was a 3-wheeler...

Honestly I think "Shambles" is becoming too generous though. Captain Chaos more like (have you booked in for this week yet...??)

hmm it was less of a problem when I ditched the SCT whells in favour of some ballistic greens. The car does have a lack of droop but I can't give it any more without using softer springs, which I don't want to do because the back end is quite grippy.

I have already pre-booked but under my real name. If I can't get the car to work this week then I have to become "Captain Chaos". Here is an image of said guy - he does look a bit like Dave though:
