HNMC are making the decision for our winter series this weekend. We're looking at supplied control tyres and 13.5T motors but I'll wait before I buy.
Can't wait for the 1st lap laughter of those nobbly rears on Astro!!

Being an RC10 newbie does anyone know if the Team & Worlds edition bodyshell fit on the '84 original?
Want to do a box-art version on the supplied shell and use a Kinwald replica to race with.
Do TBG, Marwan or Kamtec do a 'Worlds' shell?
Anyone finished their build? I've just finished the shocks.
Word.

The Worlds kit came with an RCPS Turbo Mirage body and TBG does a replica.

Crashtest, yes the Team (Viper) and Mirage shells will fit the goldpan original. The chassis is the same profile shape just different colour. You might find that the TBG Mirage shell doesn't fit as snug to the chassis though (but can be made to with velcro pulling in sides). You can still get the Viper shell from Associated I think.

I was thinking of running a brushed motor as its old school, any idea of what limit on turns for these(I've got 4 various old motors sitting around).

Spec tyres will be fun if its wet!!

Not at the moment but I know our shop owner Gary used to race with a 17t brushed.
I've thought of sticking an Ansmann Launcher 17 in myself but missing out on a heat because of some stupid old school motor failure would make you feel like a right prat (if not period authentic! Lol)

I've been looking around, LRP still make brushed modified motors, and they list a 17 double at a reasonable price too.

I plan using my Astute a few time this winter too and that's running an 18 double, which works well with the car.

When Rc10's were originally raced, we were limited to run, which turn motor, due to the cells that were available and being able to complete a race without dumping. As cells improved, so we stared to use hotter motors. I remember racing my Rc10 Champ edition with a 11 single motor, but that was with a Stealth gearbox. I would expect the 6 gear box could probably handle a 15 double.

EEK !

If you have used tamiya or pactra or Fastrax rattle cans then get some Autosmart Tardis from eBay, it's a car valet ting far remover but will remove polycarbonate paint with gentle rubbing of a soft cloth dipped in the Tardis. I've used it on vintage and modern shells with no issues.

Great looking car. I was going to wait until I had a clear day to build mine in peace. Having seen yours built think I might start it in stages while the missus is watching strictly dancing on tv.

Just going to stick a low powered brushless in it. Not going even attempt the shell - going to get someone who knows what they are doing to do it. Going to get my old model cars mag azine collection out of the loft as I remember an advert they had back in the day with a really cool paint scheme.

Default Track test

We did a track test down at HNMC with an etronics Fusion Race 10.5T brushless setup yesterday and it flies!! Need reverse for the ol' 3-point turns tho!
Race day next weekend is gonna be fun if it's wet.

Mine is built, just body to paint and ESC to mount. I'm trying mine with a Saturn 20T sealed can motor, and tekin ESC, as I have them, and can run the car at the 540 class in YORCC. Car went together well, and the proline tyres feel surprisingly grippy. Anyone got any feedback on the kit tyres after running theirs?

Is that going to be the set limit for the classic race then and any idea for old brushed motors. I can't make next week but plan to attend the following meeting.
