Although smartphone control would be great, for now I'd just like to be able to run Hotwire on my Mac without needing some kind of Windows installation.

I can't say I really care about having it on my phone but the little program box like other escs which I think are working on would be great.

Although the little netbook I have with me to the track does help to keep the kids entertained with a movie if needed

Do people run hybrid or sensored mode for off road?

Is the feeling that hybrid is more efficient? Which has a nicer feel?

Thanks, I've been impressed with hybrid on my RX8.

Do other manufacturers do hybrid like Tekin? I know some say they revert to sensorless if there's a sensor problem. But I've not seen anyone else describing a hybrid mode with sensored starts and sensorless running.

Default RS Pro / Rs

Hi Randy
I am new to Tekin and have just fitted a Tekin RS in blinky mode in the club class in a 410 with a 10.5 redline motor on a high grip astro indoor( very fast ) track on 27/87 gearing and all seems fine.
My question is I am now looking at the modified class and have a RS Pro and a 7.5 redline with a hotwire could you give me any advise on set up for either please.

Thanks for that ,but when i checked the website i couldn`t find anything for VERY HIGH grip set ups using schumacher yellows (control tyre).
All seemed to be for dirt etc.
The motor is a 6.5 not 7.5.
Thanks

Hi I have a Tekin RS Pro that I bought second hand on Ebay. I have just put in an old speedo to check that the issue lies with the speedo and it appears it does. Intermittently it stalls and bogs down at low speeds. as if the motor is being starved of power. could this be the capacitor? or is it a more serious problem? Thanks

No the cap isn't the issue. With what motor are you using to test? What do the led's show?

It's worth checking the voltage cut of setting on the speedo.

using a lrp 7.5 x12. been using a different speedo today to test my car. will put the tekin back in tomorrow. Have voltage set to 2 cell 6 volts. didnt have a sensor wire installed when i tested it the other day, would that be a possible cause? got one on order so will test that in the next few days. All help is greatly appreciated. If i cant resolve it thought i will send it to RC Discos to see if they can reslove it. Its really weird though cos it will work for like a bit then it just bogs down and stops at low speed when im accelerating. Then it reingages.

A sensor harness that is intermittent could cause that reaction, yes.

Quick question.....

When running in dual mode on the RS Pro, is the timing advance on the motor endbell disabled?
