Question ???

We would like to put in a team for the Off road wars thing, but!!!

Our problem is....

I am F1
LLoyd Storey is F1
Rich Ralph is F1
Matt Owen is F1

So my question is, as you are doing it on final position ie 10 points for win in final surely those teams with F1's are not at such an advantage ???

I like the idea as it means your f1 driver may not even score to help the team win...
Is there anyway this can be looked at so we can enter a team...??

Regards

Hi

First of all a ringer is you using someone that is not
A member of your club

2, put your team together and I will look in to the f1 side of things

3, you can only enter a team by email

Hope this helps

Does all this talk of SC mean I'm going to have to enter that too?!

...On the condition I'm in the same heat as Darren if we have two

Any thoughts on SC 'rules', 10.5 limit, yellow pins control tyre, must crash into Darren at least once per lap?

Rich et al!

Some very basic SCT rules are currently being worked on, they will be very simplistic, may involve a motor limit and control tyre or tyres (much the same as the 2 & 4WD buggies!) but will very definitely require the use of SCT wheels and tyres only.....none of that cheaty 1:8 Rallycross combo's for 2012 chaps, sorry! But just trying to stick to the cause and the class!

Any SCT drivers that may have driven either indoors and/or on carpet, we would like to hear of your suggestions/preferences for tyres.....as long as they are a genuine SCT tyre!
And commercially available in the UK!

Thanks

I dont think the class needs a motor limit, if you set a 10.5 or 13.5 limit people will just boost the crap out of the motors and they will just be as quick as a 8.5/7.5

As for tyres, the kit SC10 tyres seem to go well for DMS Darren last year, easy to get hold of and cheap, be interesting to see what Schumacher bring out for the SC class, mini pins would be grip roll tastic on a SC truck!

I would ban foams as fastrax do some trued and glued for the SC10, someone would chance it im sure!

No motor limit please - for exactly the reason Mark said above!

As for tyres - was going to suggest Kourse Kings. Pretty hard wearing and not too dear either. Guess it depends what's being bought out between now and February. If it's kit tyres then fair enough.

As for the tyres, I ran the kit SC10 tyres last year as Mark stated and they were "more than enough" everywhere on the track, my truck certianly never felt like it was ever "wanting" more grip.

Motors, as per Mark and Hog, why limit them? The buggy classes are open and so should SC be in my opinion. It will still be the same drivers there or therabouts at the end of the event regardless and it will prevent the boosted stock situation people refer to also.

As for Richs "suggested rule" about taking me out each lap, I fully agree, as long as the I can have him off too (even if that does mean cutting the track to get him) .

I propose that the new 2011 national champion starts every heat with a 1 lap penalty to start with (to give the rest of us a chance)

It'll be EPR all over again

Are you planning on pulling a wheelie and taking off every time you get to the straigh again

Kourse Kings sound like a good idea, should slide a bit and certainly won't wear out!

If every race day was like what we had at EPR, boy this hobby would be fun, that was a really good giggle that day....

If it cannot pull a wheelie, then it aint fast enough surely LOL.......

However, would prefer to see kit tyres over Kourse Kings TBH

Which 'kit tyres' though? Are we talking the weird AE tread style ones and JC Green Subs on the back like you get in the SC10 FT, or just whatever everyone's kit came with?

I meant standard kit SC10 AE tyres, not sure about what everyone else meant....

So the funky treaded tyres all round like the first SC10 kits had and the front of the SC10 FT?
