See you next week.

Thanks Mal! I take it that it's an outdoor T.C. track on a carpark? Correct me if I'm wrong. Have you been indulging in racing there?

Read all about it here --> http://www.oople.com/forums/showpost...8&postcount=74

It's actually an indoor outdoor NE 1/10 Regional meeting - in a horse arena. Get there with a 1/10 scale electric off-roader of any kind and you'll LOVE the surface ! ! !

Default H.V's TRACK.

Thanks Mal and Bill for the information and more that I asked.
I'm not sure I will be able to make it this Sunday, but I will be up to check it out. I'll see Harry on Monday and quiz him on the gen for his track.

A lot of regulars missing again this week but still 15 racing. Get yourselves along the rest of you!
Also would be useful if a few more could be there for 7 or just before. We can get in the hall to set up the pits while the ladies keep fit class is still going on - they are quite happy for us to do this as long as we're out of their way - Jonny certainly seemed to be enjoyung the visual entertainment!
Very close in the TC's again through all 3 quali's and the first leg of the final between me and Harry. Not sure which of us was more dissapointed that he failed to get off the line in the final with a sticky brush!
Paul willno doubt post ther full results.
Hope to see more of you there next week - 6:50 sharp you can either set up your pit table - or watch the ladies keep fit with Jonny, up to you!
And don't forget, next week in the last week of the race series!
Cheers

Hello tyne met buggy boys. Is there anyone who could lend a set of reasonable set of wheels and tyres for an interested potential racer. Harry who has just finished some work in my house has bought a second hand b44 (no electrics). Harry doesnt have the time to get the rest of his stuff and was going to give me the buggy to try to sell at the club. However i have told him i have some spare gear to put in his car and he is interested in at least giving it a go for a night. The other question is that what pinion should i put on the b44 with a 7.5 x12 assuming the spur is the standard kit one oh and harry has raced before so hopefully it wont be too fast. Help for a potential new racer welcome. would be this monday.
cheers.

well guys we broke the 20 racer mark tonight with a fantastic 22 comprising 9 buggies & 13tcs for the last night of the 6 week series. Paul will post the results as usual. Nice to see the new racers keen and turning up week after week, also Anthony racing for his first meeting and 3 new members joining!
Great to seeRoss back again and Phil Haines turn up to race and prove he hasn't lost it by stealing pole and winning the first leg of the A final, hope to see you back again but a bit slower next time please Phil.
No racing next week due to the bank hol but hope to have another good turn out when we're back the following week.

Cheers

Default set up for tc @tynemet

as some of you's might of noticed my car is all over the place when im driving, i had put this down to my driving but a couple of the lads had a quick look at my car on monday and noticed that my camber/toe settings were way out,
what is everybody running setup wise?
also will it be worth stripping my diffs and giving them a clean or just tightening them up a little- they were pre built when i bought the Mi1 and havnt done anything with them since fitting them.

cheers,
Mal

Toe out Mal!!!!
No wonder you were unhappy with it parallel to 1deg to in both back and front - toe in front gives more turn in but makes more twitchy on the straight, 0-1 deg neg camber as well, more gives more grip in corners but makes it unpredictable. toe in on the back gives less oversteer/more understeer in corners. Unless your diffs feel rough I'd start with camber & toe in settings before rebuilding.

Cheers Mark,
Bought some set up gauges and set front a rear 1 deg toe in and camber -1 deg front and rear- just have to see how it goes next meeting.
One thing i have found is that the pin that holds wheel hex onto the shaft on the left rear has snapped into 3 pieces- maybe this also explains why i was spinning out too

Hi Mal! have you got plenty of drive pins for the wheel hexes?. I've got a few if you're short of them. Let me know if you want them before next Monday.

Well guys a bit of a poor tun out this week compared to the previous meeting althoughy 16 drivers is still more than we could have hoped for at Longbenton. Still a few regulars missing or even dissapeared!! (Jason?)
Anyway, this Saturday 11th is the colleg's community open day so we've been invited to put on a race demo in part of the hall. Doors open to the public at 11 so we're in there at 10:30 to set up with racing from 11 - 12:30 so please come along if you can - anyone welcome - club member or not!
It's a good opportunity to show the public we're there and what we do as well as providing a bit of racing or a set up session for drivers at no cost.
Hope to see a good turn out for thea as well as a few more of you getting along next Monday
