Default Durga

Im being told that a lot of the 501 parts are the same so that is easy for hop ups but I think a lot of parts are metal anyway rather than the plastic kind on the likes of Keen Hawk. No doubt the experts among you will shoot me down in flames. By the way I cant make head nor tail of the RC Champ web site. When is Jimmy doing a review in the Durga?

Default Durga

Just bought a Durga. I'm now desperate for Jimmy to do a review on it so I can see what to do and what not to do with the assembly. I'm reluctant to start to it till he does. It comes with a blank setup I see.

no, it comes with a solid layshaft.

The seller actualy shouldn't of been selling, as the Durga isn't for global release till the 29th November, and it will be released at the same time as the swing shafts (CVD's) and slipper.

I also have a front one-way to trial fit in there.... hoping it fits.

The Durga seems to have been around for a couple of months if you knew the right people, but like DCM says it's so they can get it out there to the various distributors for a worldwide release. I don't know the right people! but I do have 2 cars on order and hopups and a good driver for a side-by-side test.

Any chance you could post some pics or some scans of the manual detailing how the suspension attaches to the chassis?

Pics please! Also some feedback on how durable/flexible the chassis, suspension and drivetrain appears to be.

Pictures of this soon to be owned and much anticipated buggy will be greatly appreciated. Im also curious to see what Tamiya came up with for the box design. Im also wondering how some of you guys seemed to have gotten it so soon?

WOW! Durga available in Scotland before being released in Japan!

I shall commemorate this amazing happening with a slice of Jamaica Ginger Cake. Mmmmmm!!!!

Would still love to see some real pics of a user assembled car though. And hear whether is a hit or a miss in terms of build quality.

I saw one today (JasonRCB's) and it is typical Tamiya.
The plastics look a bit "oily", but everything fits together as it should.

I didn't get a go as his dad left early, but early reports are favorable.

sorry dom even had the batteries charged ready for you

well what can i say for a cheap car its quick and handles but as i found out today dont try and race it without a slipper clutch...the plastic is strong as i threw it hard at covs double jump and it didnt break now thats a plus point...its a little rear end heavy but i have an idea to cure that...the shell is ok but could fit better have a new shell on the way with all the hop ups and i will be cutting that out differentley

all in all i was more than happy with its first time out and i will do more testing over the winter

pictures of the car will be on the tamiya club once i have cleaned it up

if your looking to get a car that you want to develop and be different from the masses this is the car
