All

I just ordered mine - is the gear diff a "must have" these days??? I'm old skool and can't really think about dropping a gear diff in a competition 2wd, but everyone I seem to talk to can only talk "gear diff this, gear diff that" and so on...

Really looking forward to getting my B4.1 as the molds quality on the B4 I built last year was a bit disappointing, to say the least

thanks
Paul

Not at the moment it isnt. Dont think there is anyone using a gear diff in a 2wd with some sort of competition advantage.

OK thanks. I had soundbites of US topdogs swearing by diff gears...

I started assembling my kit saturday btw. Indeed, the parts fit is amazing compared to the B4 I built a year ago... They surely redid some of the molds. Feels like assembly a Japanese car now, so far I've only built the front end but it's nice and tight and free at the same time. Only one of the steering posts threads was slightly off tolerance and required some dremeling, the rest is tops!

as it's been for most of the 00's - TT has done most of AE's plastics since the last millenium, and then some of the last one's kits' too...

No matter what, goes beautifully together Can't wait to be done with the thing and run it!!!

Is there any benefit in spliting rear toe in by using inboard AND outboard hub toe in?

Cars look very nice.

Having run my B4.1 vs old B4 it rides the bumps much better, doesn't notice things that used to upset the old one using the same oils/pistons. Also front end seems to have more bite.

For anyone looking for some of the hard to find "new" spec B4.1 bits, as I mentioned earlier in this thread we have broken a kit for our own use and still have many of the bits up for sale which can be seen in the following for sale thread http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51614

The list has been updated this evening......

Ill have some 4.1 parts up for sale over the weekend if anyone is after anything..

Once my Atomic Carbon S2.1 is finished ill have the chassis, rear tower, gearbox cases, rear bumper, rear hinge pin blocks, t-piece, cf battery strap, shell, wings, tyres and wheels up in the for sale section.

Having looked at the car very quickley last night the moulding of the plastic pieces in the 4.1FT kit is just artistic! No flashing in site, just perfectly moulded plastic everywhere!

I might also have the new V2 shocks for sale if I decide to keep the Losi shocks.

Hi guys,

About the new shocks, at first I thought that you could open them up from the bottom (like losi shocks), but now I see that it's just to replace o-rings.

How do you put extra washers in these shocks to change droop? You have to unscrew the rod end, then push the shaft through the o rings which lets all the oil leak out?

Same problem for changing pistons?

If I knew how to do a pole I would bet that the majority of people that bought a B4.1 would vote that they are very happy - mine is just great....

I'd love to have downstop set-screws on OR cars like we have on track cars... it's so much hassle with those shims inside the shocks! It's also 100% accurate!
