They are 3racing shocks but with all the internal bits from the stock plastic ones, I also have bits of fuel hose on the shafts to make sure they don't bottom out. It's not a very good setup but it's only bashing around the backyard so it doesn't matter. I've been giving it a really hard time to see what I can break but I haven't broken anything at all (apart from the wing but that's just not very well made) : ). Today I realised the tyres ballooning is why I'm loosing traction as it gets up to speed, I've tried to fix it with taping the inside of the tyre but I need to learn a bit more about this technoligy

My bearings have arrived today!!!!
I've allready built them in. Not sure if I have built the diff and gearbox correctly so I will go to a friend today who has a Mad Rat and he will check it for me :P (actually by him I have met the MAd Rat ) the pinion gear doesn't look to stay straight or the spur gear. I have a 27T pinion on a 13,5T BL motor.
But ... MAN I LOVE HOW THE BUGGY TURNS ....

I took apart the diff and gearbox, cas I knew that one washer was installed vice versa(the two sides are not 100% simmetrical, one side being more round than the other) and put some more grease inside, just to be sure.
I was told that the diff was much too loose, so I've tighten it. It really changed the sound of the car, and I could make some wheelies :P ...soooooo nice
Still have some problems. The spur isn't turning straight. It turns a bit like a bike with an 8 in the wheel. How bad is that?
I have also changed the rear springs to some longer ones, from the spare shocks for my monster truck. (I'll try to put pictures with)

Please help me a bit with this spur issue. If needed I will make a video and upload it here.

The spurs are sometimes bent, If you warm it up then put the slipper on, make sure its all on good and straight then tighten the slipper nut up all the way. Then leave it overnight it should be straight(er) if not straight. You can try putting the spur in hot water for a while first then tighten it up. Once it's straight then you can loosen the slipper again so it slips before the diff slips

hot water than..... I will try that. I'm not sure if it hadn't bent the motor's shaft allready.... I will put on another pinion to see if not the pinion itself is a bit bent.
Thanks nicefrog!

Hm......:-?
Looks like its not the spur. I've mounted it on the front wheel axle and there it doesn't do that play....

don't have time now to continue checking it. I have to clean up here cas a girl will come to me tomorrow :P
When I finnish, I will try to tighten the slipper more and see what happens. But one thing is sure: I don't want to brake the Rat before I could run it for good. So better wait till somebody more expert sees it.
