This thread makes me realise why oople is the best!
I am not in with all the in jokes on here as i dont see many people from outside my region but i cut through ( understanding that its not to do with me )all that and oople delivers uber fast answers in a friendly tone with accuracy!and fairness
getting rid of links is isnt helpfull to rc nor kind especialy to little cottage industry beer money ,one man band companys like painters and someone that makes his own shock towers etc
OOple is ace and a great service....nice one Jimmy and Vicky

It's not often that you will see me linking to another forum but for a long time I was a fan of Jimmy's website at oople.com

It occurs to me that many of you might feel better served and more at home on a forum like that and I feel it would be better for all of us if you can find the right forum for YOU and use the one that you prefer.

Anyway here is the link ...

Bothered about being banned off a forum? Yeah right!

I think some of you guys take it to far, yes some of the bans are utterly crap reasons, but as Jimmy said dont get personal.

But I still agree that oOple is better cause it is my personal preference. I'm sure there are other people of Racechat that like it and they might not like oOple.

Making things personal make us on this site look bad and unfriendly+immature
OOple's the best
why not encourage more boring cars and 12th on here...they would love it as we do?

One advantage of modded forums though - Whilst not wanting to sound boring but if i had young children who raced and used forums i wouldnt want them reading some of the language thats being used here?

Well said Dave, after all, as its been said before, were all just big kids playing with toy cars. And we all know men never grow up!!! And i like mb and oople for that, a place where we can continue to have a laugh and a joke outside racing and get away from the menotiny of day to day life.

Unfortunatly Jimmy Rob does sometimes makes it personal. My ban many years ago was due to a true comment I made about someone who was a friend of his. I was told to publicly appologize. FAT Chance when what I said was true "backed up by everybody!!" Anyway it HIS forum so he can do what he likes. Thems the rules !!!

Anyway has anybody heard the latest news ????

Something hit the ground near Great Yarmouth.

It was said to be dummy shaped, and originated from around the ACLE area ????

We have some awesome guys moderating this forum and they do a great job - if you think it's not moderated you'd be very surprised. I want the forum to be a great place for young people - personal attacks or swearing aren't what I want to see, but this isn't the Disney website either and I can't guarantee that kids won't see things that are mild in comparison to the stuff they hear at school
Seriously though. There are bigger problems than mild or more than mild swearing that are priorities sometimes. I deleted someones comments (not their post, just the offensive bit) in this very thread earlier today - perhaps I should have PM'd them and asked them to post with respect and inteligence but I hope for the most part people use their head and think or will try to in future.

No matter what someone at another forum has done or said, you can express yourself better without resorting to calling them harsh names - it sorta breaks down the power of what you were trying to say if you can't say it with at least a small degree of respect.

I don't have time or energy to read other R/C forums much these days but I know I used to spend many hours on Racechat and whilst I didn't personally agree with some of the choices made over there I still respect it for all the information and knowlege it's given me and other racers in the past.
