what kind of fuel is available around this place? guess I cannot get a gallon with on the plane Got a new engine to break-in, was thinking I break it with the same fueltype.

what kind of tyres are the best for this surface?
cityblock?

fuel is available trackside Tom & you definitely can't take it on the plane!
not sure exactly which shops will be there but all the major fuel brands should be available

as for tyres M3 holeshots or similar seem to be the best choice
so something small blocked & soft
the track doesn't really wear tyres at all so they last pretty good

still not sure on what tyres to run

we ran holeshots last year but just felt loose, couldnt get them hooked up even with a new set on every run.

dont know what to try this year..we should have a control tyre..angle spikes tho to keep bloomers happy

dont know wether to run the HB pinks but if they dont work your kinda running around then buying tyres on the day

I did run Revolvers last year in M3. Felt alright, tried Holeshots and they did give a lot more steering. Again this year will probably be the same again, Holeshots, Revolvers, Gridirons, Cityblocks etc etc. No need for a control tyre in my opinion this is more of a international event with a fair few factory drivers trying to promote products. I know that Byron Fuel was there last year and BlueGroove racing was there. If you want fuel send CML or one of the distributors a e-mail over here and they might help you out if you're lucky

Looks like I am going down the Losi route with tyres Kingpin G2, Digits & Eclipse, just about covers all angles for tread pattern without going over board.

no we dont need a control tyre..it was tongue in cheek for those that didnt get it

holeshots will always be the safe bet but not always the quick tyre,if it gets dusty again like last time its going to be trial and error and hope we get the right tyre.

cant wait tho..was awesome the last 2 times

Well gutted that I couldnt of gone this year had to drop out

But i got fair few sets of the Holeshots from 2 years back they worked very well for me in M3's.
I did try inside jobs they felt pretty good but didnt last very long at all soon went off.

I got SSofts for this year the AKA CityBlk's to run but think i keep them in the pitbox now i aint running.

But as Dave says a safe tire will be the Holeshots M3's
Also the track conditionsas i know they used to wet the track in morning so sometimes depends when your on the track as it changes. They prob do it to try keep the dust down???

Yes it is, I thought you were talking about two different Gold compounds

Green is VERY soft and might not last that long compared to Blue from my experience with them in 10th, could be wrong though!

If you're going to Worksop this Sunday Dave I can bring some Green and Blue compound tyres for you to have a look at if you want
