I'm sorry but that is just a bad choice on behalf on Schumacher. Losi Front 4wd Wheels are the industry standard around the world so why wouldn't a $.35 part be included in the kit when it is one of the most important parts? Hop Ups on a car that cost this much already? why?

Please dont get me wrong, I think the car is an awesome piece of enginering. I was just hoping the kit would be complete and also not have another car on the market with proprietary wheels.
Because schumacher make their own wheels, why would they want to line another companies pockets

If you love losi so much, why do they sell wheel nuts in packs of 3

Is that not to increase profit?

Also, the offset of the hex's will let you run Losi front wheel but not JConcepts or Associated B44.
You need to shim out b44 or JC wheels with washers by about 1.5mm, thats how ive been using mine works fine ..

I don't think thats the idea, it makes swapping over to the Schumacher far less painful on the pocket, as you then won't have to go buy new rims/tyres, they may lose out on some wheel sales, but probably make it more viable to switch to the SX...

Of a thought, can the B44 hexes not be drilled out to fit?

the depth of the B44 hex is greater than that of the Losi wheel, as smOkin said, just add a washer if you want to run them

Well I have hexes included with my kit, but to be honest I won't use them.

This is why I think Schumacher are perfectly justified in not including them and having as an option.

If I had a box load of tyres on hexes (like the massive box of rallyx tyres I have) then I would buy the hexes or whatever to run them. However I don't, and Schumacher Revlite wheels are the nuts, so no need to change wheels, so I don't need hexs so no need for Schumacher to include and waste them on people like me.

I have loads of Losi wheels, but I can;t see me using them again. So I can see me selling them on shortly.

Infact, I have loads with almost new tyres on if anybody interested - Yellow Minipins too. May aswell bring them with me, anybody want a pair of tyres on wheels - £5. Im just going to go straight to Schumacher wheels.

The Schumacher RevLite rims are some of the best i've used. Chris and James are right in terms of shimming out the front for them to fit B44 rims. I did this at talywain in an emergency but forgot the shim, made a nice mess of the front hub lol.

Hi all,

Just so you are aware i have just uploaded on the Schumacher Website all the new Technical information on the CAT SX. Instruction Manual, Exploded Diagram and all the latest Set Up sheets, some of which do not appear in the manual.

See some of you at Worksop, where this TC racer will be persuading Muzzy to have a nice flat track!!

U3381 Wheel Hex; Front - Cat SX pr £5.10

I think after forking out 350 quid for a car I can spare a fiver for some hexes

Losi front wheels only fit four cars currently on the market anyway, well five if you count the aging xx-4, I believe. So surely most people are used to having to buy new wheels when they change chassis anyway. Schumacher are at least offering you the option. It's only really touring cars where you can go from one car make to the other and not worry about your wheels and tyres not fitting. Second thing is look at the 2wd buggies, Three chassis on the market at the moment from major manufacturers and only the back wheels are intechangeable on two of them.

As for those guys worrying about the placement of their connectors on the lipo model you should have seen where they ended up on the 4X2 chassis layout.

Personally i think the Cat is a great design and I am sure that the silverware will be rolling in next summer, like it already has been with the prototypes at the end of this season. I look forward to your review Glypo

At the risk of going off topic, I thought the HB D2 could run proline / losi wheels?
The rb5 can, the xxxcr can, the b4 can, the X6 can, the S2 can - are there ANY that can't? Similar story in 4WD.

Anyway, the offset is the same, the car is designed to accept losi wheels from the outset - that's all anyone can ask really. The pin is going to be better than that crappy little losi hex anyway.

So, would the Schumacher RevLite wheels fit other cars if they had a suitable pin, like the one Nortech does for the B44?

I can't see why not. Just run the Schumacher tophat washer behind the pin on a B44, XX4, X-5, XXX4 etc etc etc, an the Revlite's will fit.
