I think you will find that they are struggling with rear grip i would guess, after driven my own mid motor 2wd i find you need plenty of rearing grip and with it being mainly dirt i think this could be the reason, but i could be barking up the wrong tree completely

Btw the other photographers are packing some hardware a 600mm f4 cost around £6 grand, i hope Jimmy manages to have a play with one of those lens, i used a 300mm f2.8 at oxon last year, and you just could not move it about to keep up with the cars.
