All the rope at Nissan went JORCR/Seaham, TRCC & Netherton Park

Does anybody know what turn motors the lads running the buggies are using?
Also what tyres/inserts?

Cheers,
Mal

Hi Mal
The buggies are running down to 5.5 motors and a mix of yellow cat full spikes or mini spikes, usually with the schumacher medium inserts, personally I think the cat spikes along with a cooler motor (7.5) will last about 6 weeks
I'm printing the results at the start of each meeting as not enough time at the end before everything goes into the cupboard.
As far as the track goes I'm sure we have enough to cover the majority if not all of the wall, which should prevent any more 'vaulkhard moments'!!!

Can everyone take responsibilty for ensuring they are happy with the track, rather than the usual few people left to finish it off each week

Cheers
Paul

his car had a slight altercation with a loose screw sticking out of the skirting boards on the back straight,
he wasnt the only one though- ray(twice), ian and mark have all snapped wishbones in recent weeks.

cheers for the reply's on my questions Paul- is the 5.5/ 7.5 turn motor ratings for brushless?

Mal

Yeh brushless all the way, too much maintenance using brushed in a buggy!
You should come along to the regional at stannington if you get sorted, likely to be 30+ racing.

Anyone got any medium schumacher inserts to sell me, don't really want to have to melt part worn tyres off my rims for the weekend

Cheers

Hey everyone, sorry for not replying sooner. If required im sure Bill & I can lend some rope for the wall, but I think there is probs enough handrail to do the job anyway? Dont be put off by the wall incident I had, (it really was freak and with a very old car) I've been hitting it every week for 6 weeks and eventually somethings gotta give! : ) It rewards 'getting it right' and punishes getting it wrong which i'm sure we all agree is part and parcel of scale motorsport?! Anyway to all new and old members, from my part I think the new club has taken the necessary steps into the future which were well over due so everyone should support the new venture as it's a great location great hall and great group of people so get yourselves along for the next race meeting!

A bit of a strange meeting last night, after 2 weeks with no racing I was expecting a good turn out but we were a little light on regular racers for some reason, (although I know some of you are having babies around now!)
That didn’t stop us making a total of 17 racers though with no less than SEVEN first timers at the venue. Nice to see Ross making his first meeting at TyneMet and providing some tough competition for Paul Hindson in the buggy class, which had 2 new racers with just a couple of Seaham meetings under their belt as well as Peter Ellis joining us.
Also 3 new lads in the TC’s, particularly good to see that 2 of them were junior racers, something that’s a bit of a rarity these days (I blame PS3’s, XBOX’s etc)!
Anyway I’m sure Paul will post the results if he hasn’t already from what was a VERY close nights racing for the top spots.
A better turn out of regulars wouldn’t go amiss next week and don’t forget the regional buggy meeting this Sunday at Harry’s place if you fancy going along.
Hopefully see more of you next week!

Mark! can you tell me where Harry's place is please?, all I've heard is it's somewhere around Stanington, is that right? Could anyone be more spacific with directions, please?.

It was good to get back racing last night (getting in people's way, sorry about that) It wasn't till the 2nd final I eventually got the car to go where I wanted, I might get my act together for next week.
See you next week.
