Nice one Thomas, that track looks like very challenging. You just need to work on your nerves in the finals now and maybe you can start kicking Daniel T's arse

Congrats to Daniel on the win, good to see the cars going so well

Thank you Craig!

But I was not happy with my car at all this weekend. I had major problem with oversteer during acceleration. The car was really hard to drive and i was struggling to keep it in a straight line. I´ve tried a lot of things but always ended up with the setup I used in our national two weeks ago. Thomas got this setup from me and I gues he posted it some pages back in this thread.

/Daniel

Daniel, I've been trying mine on ultra short wheelbase. I've moved the wishbones 2 shims further forward, the B44 is quite a bit longer than the BJ4. It does seem to give the car a bit more drive.

I´ve tried tho short wheelbase but it wasn´t any improvement.

I have also changed the rear links (tried short and long, more or less angeld), diffrent pistons and oil, less anti squat, angle of the rear shocks, more uptravel in the front shocks...

But nothing gives me the onpower stability I need. Th car is really loose when I put it on power but solid as a rock entering a corner. It´s also tend to bounce some over the bumps.

Any ideas?

Yes. Lose the Bow Ties. Their diameter is too large, they make the car instable, they have crap side bite,... Try IFMAR pins or bigshots.

And we have a Break down...

This is the sad thing when ya double the classes on same day,and hit a STONE big as a car, the Motor is Mowing 1 cm from the motor mount(rip apart the screws)...the spurgear is totaly toothless..take it apart, and mount it together again, to fast and hard...(i run the AC mod on the slipper, but used to much force)..

Strange, the diffs, can´t tell if it is the front or rear, i can hear a little "slipper noice", when i acc real hard over a bumpy section, only sometimes...the slipepr working ACE...the diffs are rebuild and re tightened ..gonna se today if there is anything else..ordred the B44 slipperkit just to have it, i like my AC S4 slipper mod, so im not sure i will mount it

Afterwork drivning..

Made a new battery strap , from 3 mm CF (FG´s loose sheets, expensive as XX) why?

First, im tired of using 4 thumbs, im down to 1 (ok the 2 in the back are still there, but il never loosen them)

2nd, i have ordred a B44 tranny, so i have to remove the batteripost near the ESC/main shaft.

Some B44 parts on my S4, why?, i can now get a shorter upper link @ Casterblock, less roll..jummie!

Ordred the complete B44 tranny/Slipper, so it will be mounted in a week or to, thats one of the reasons why i made a new Batt strap. pic will come

Short race report..to bad, a few guys droped off this competition and we where only 7 or 8 in 4wd.. :/ .

26/6 a local race, app 25-35 in 2wd and only 7 or 8 in the 4wd class, this race could be fun, a almost "jump-less" track, with dusty and BUMPY conditions..real bumpy..

The car felt real great, to bad i had wrong tires, but did well anyway..after practice i hade some hope for a top 3...

Q1 to 3: it went real good..when it did..5 times the car stops cuz sand/stones in my rear rims..they lock up the rim, between rim and rear upper link /ball cup) distance is real small here...but i manage to Q 2 after local driver.

The final was...ok, little mistake from me, and some lack of routine but will getting closer and better for every race ...

finished 3 in the first a main , did a newbe misstake on 2nd a main ..almost 2nd place..only 2 10th of a sec after...and i was hunting like a dog...3 a main, took off real good, and left the field behind me..then after 2 min app, the speker says "Thomas Pettersson has Broke" wtf?? man that wasnt good, i lost all my focus, i was in the lead and my transponder died i think...finished 2nd after beingn down to a 3d place..

the race was fun, and i cant wait for the next one... it will be the Nationals in Sweden 16-17/8-2008
