I noticed, by the part numbers, that there is a separate spring set coming.

I think the springs on the YZ photo's look like the Yatabe springs but the partnumbers suggest that the are not Yatabe.

Yet more springs with unknown rates! My spring rate tester is on order...

They will be x-gear, just some newer rates. The old ones (YAS) are listed as options.

Yup explode looks great, car will be excellent.

I suspect it's the excellent looking red workshop chassis. AE will more than likely sit back and let others develop the car (like centro) then try polish it.

I did not know about it before, but after checking google I think it is quite possible that my source meant the redworkshop chassis. I would not be surprised to see them running the finished product at the worlds and decide afterwards whether to do a version of their own, just like they did with the Centro -> B5M and the Avid aluminum chassis and converted Durango gear diffs -> B44.3.

But back to topic, has anyone heard when the manual will be online?

Looking at the exploded view of the chassis and side pods it looks like you can run saddle packs down the centre of the chassis as well as across. But going off the photos it wouldn't be possible unless you have a small ESC and low profile servo. Even then it's looking tight for space.

I'll soon find out mid January unless it's delayed again (like the B-Max4 III was).

I can't wait to get my hands on one. Looks like the B-Max2 will be getting converted to rear motor in preparation for the outdoor season in case it's wet.

These images popped up on Shin Adachi's facebook page ealier today, but only now had chance to post them here:

Looks like a stubby servo is essential to get the most space for speedo and receiver.

Bmax 2 MR is awesome in rear motor config with a shorty pack forward, speedo under rear tower and a heavy front bulkhead.

Unfortunately my Japanese is not good enough to read the setup sheet... Are those low-profile or normal cut staggers on wide rims? I remember I tried the normal cut stagger premounts some years ago, but it quickly became obvious that modifying your wheels and mounting LP cut staggers is worth the extra effort.

I think he uses the LP cut staggers, on wide rims to reduce grip.
The wide rim pulls the middle of the tire down.

And is it me, or does he run more shims under the right inner ball stud, than the left side?

Shin, Naoto and Lee all seemed to run low profile cut staggers on uncut rims since last trip out (for Lee) in Oct. I recall seeing photos of their cars then.

It does look like the shims are more one side. Maybe to ease the car on one side more than the other due to the layout? Shin does answer questions via facebook, if you try. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007474418393
