Anyway, I'm after ugrading/buying a few things and need help! (because I haven't got a clue!)

Gimbals - because I only have a Naza Lite, I need a gimbal with its own board - is the Tarot good, and where to buy?

Radio - currently running a DX6i and want to change. Read that the Futaba's are good - any other recommendations?

FPV - would like to get into this, but not a clue. Any help???

Jim.

Any info much appreciated.

PS. and I thought RC cars were addictive....

Cheers Jim, I've got the latest gopro studio installed, but it's insisting I need to install quicktime, so I've not really bothered with it. As an "Apple software on PCs" hater, I simply won't do this. I'd rather have a dodgy virus infection.

AndyS can give you more specific info on the tarot gimbal. his looks excellent.

If buying a radio now, without question I'd go for the FrSky Taranis radio:
http://www.frsky-rc.co.uk/frsky-news...emetry-modules
http://www.t9hobbysport.com/frsky-ta...hz-transmitter
Loads of reviews and info on google/youtube.

FPV... yeah tough one. How much do you want to spend? I've kinda worked out what I want, and not wanting to buy then re-buy, I'm holding off until I have a spare £1000 for it.

I use a Mac so straight forward for me.

I know what you mean with the FPV, and the Fatshark Predator V2 kit looks good, but at £300 its a hard choice - a very expensive addition to an already expensive hobby (and the wife would kill me!)

Do need a new radio though, so thanks for the recommendation and will look at that one.

Hopefully Andy can comment on the Tarot if he sees this post.

Cheers, Jim.

Nice one Mike, impressive distance. I watched the video last night.
I must get out to fly, not used mine in three weeks, new baby and rubbish weather. I'm off to charge some batteries.

What gains are you using in your naza with that motor/prop combo. Do you change them between 3S and 4S runs?

Have you got simonk escs?

Just been out flying. 69km/h was fastest recorded speed, 3S, v2216's, dji 30A optos, 10x5 graupners. Flight time is now about 7-8mins. V4.00/v2.18 software.
Was a bit windy, and it did a few odd glitches occasionally? No crashes or control lost, but the odd self level when flying full throttle forward?

Hopefully I can get my flight data downloaded from my old GPS logger. Was having trouble last time.

Yes, got the proflightuk simon k flashed esc on at minute.
Managed 65mph yesterday, little bit of wind. Did the 1.3 mile flight just after.

Think its time for you to run 4s with 9x5 graupners and get ya self some fpv kit!

A flight track log from the other day:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msi...26935abf&msa=0

Have been messing with uploading these to google maps, but hitting a hard limit of 100 recorded GPS points. An 8 min flight contains much more than 100.

Do you know of any other mapping site that allows track logs to be uploaded? or an rc flight log site?

Maybe the challenge should be to draw comedy shapes on the landscape?

If they're 1.3mile away, how the hell do you see what they're doing at that distance? or even see which way they're pointing?
