it isn't as simple as that.

You have your import duty first.......
Then the total of your goods and import duty are added together, then they calculate the VAT....

Oh, and then ParcelFarce charge you a handling fee of about £15-£20

Reading quickly through, if it is classed as toys, then the max is 4.7%

So, £372x4.7%= £389.48

VAT, £389.48x17.5% = £457.64

Total Tax is £457.64 - £372 = £85.64

So, you may have to stump up £85 plus handling fees.

Hope they marked them as gifts.... I know I got it when I had kits and spares in one parcal.

I like the new CR shell as much as the BK2 shell. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, its just equally likeable but less similiar.
Twas the Phobia I believe.

Putting my "work" head on for a minute.......

DCM is spot on with the duty / vat calculation, however I do have one point. It would be even cheaper if you were to declare them as "Reduced-size (scale) model assembly kits, working or not, excluding trains". Then they would come in duty free but still incurring vat. If anyone needs it, the customs tariff number for this description is 950320 10 00.

it was a tad late to go delving in, lol, but that is useful to know, so do you ask the vendor to put that on the invoice?

Yep, just ask the vendor to put the tariff number clearly on the invoice, ideally followed by "Value for customs purposes $............"

Such as me and my poor little innocent eyes. I could've been so offended and upset had I not been in the safe haven of my good Catholic school.

although i have 3 to build, the quality and fit of all the parts is very good, a few minor flashing to sand of but thats me being picky.
Parts feel realy light and strong, cant wait to run it, may be a trip up to one of my local tracks will be in order to compare it to the likes of b4 and x6??
