Well, got the cars ready last night, and it looks like i wont be going anywhere this weekend. just checked the weather and heavy snow for sunday. will see what its like, but we were only suppose to have a small bit of snow last night, and its 4 inches thick.

was looking forward to this round, been 2 a caldi crimbo bash before and had a good time, lap dancers were the best.

I do hope so. It's no good just thinking of yourself you know, that's what the big society is all about, helping each other.

Sounds bad Dave, lets keep our fingers crossed and I'll have the heater turned up full blast for everyone!

Did I forget to say that we need to fit some scaffold poles in the venue to enable their act to work properly?!

And on a serious note, we've sorted out someone to do Teas, Coffees & Pot Noodles.

There will also be crisps, chocolates and soft drinks available, possibly hotdogs at lunchtime too!

Iwas going to ask the same thing, but coming from the north of caldi.
We had some decent snow last night, and know that the Bristol, and Newport area has had some snow the last day or so...

Any news would be great...

I don't think I will be able to get there, where I am the council hasn't gritted the main roads and my road has about 8 inches of snow on it and currently impassable to anything other than 4x4's grrr

I'm heading over in a bit, the main road that goes past the entrance to the estate is usually kept pretty clear, will only be the road within the estate that should cause any concern...will report back when I see it!

Well it looks like a few of us from swansea and maybe pembroke will be making the trip. at the moment its snow around, but the sun's melting it fast and checked the weather for swansea and newport and its showing clear for the rest of the day and tomorrow. so we going to make a trip up providing the meeting is still on.

Yup im in the same boat up here in Brecon - heavy snow even this morning when i was walking the dog, but it has been clear the last few hours. Again the roads are still bad, but the estates not having been touched at all by gritters and snowploughs and its a good 7-8 inches deep. Only things getting in and out around my way are 4wds.... A470 to Cardif was shut this morning and the A40 Brecon to Abergavenny was very, very dodgy according to a friend of mine.

I'd appreciate any road/travel info tonight from people around the Abergavenny to Newport area as thats the way i'd be coming.

But if it freezes overnight im not going to risk it....

I just watched a car rock back and forth for 10 mins at the bottom of my street before being pushed back to the kerb..... I am gonna commit to saying that I WON'T be making the event now.... there is no way the snow is going to be cleared off the roads today, let alone be safe to get to the main roads at stupid o'clock tomorrow.
