Ive got an ansmann x pro and i only use it for bashing and guess what i break it every time i take it out. It just doesnt matter tho its only a play thing for me. If i raced it the story would be very different!!

What surface are you driving on?

If its a car park there not designed to run on tarmac for any length of time (Unlick slicks for on road). Would it not be possible to find a park or something?

Gravel doesn't do your car or your tyres any good either...

All the kit aimed at racing dies quickly if you use it to bash around. It would be like using an F1 car for your daily commutes and complaining about the fuel efficiency and that it's uncomfortable.

As far as BRCA fees go 15-20 quid a year for insurance and racing is dirt cheap. We pay about twice that in Germany and have less races. Race fees here are also more expensive and we race on dirt so it's a minimum of 2 sets of tyres all round and people still race coz it's fun like.

If you don't want to race that's fine but don't complain about something you haven't really put much thought into...

Sorry dude but most of us guys use a new set of four tyres per meeting. Id be delighted if i got 4 weeks ( 4 meetings ) out of a set of tyres.

Even at club racing, on our smooth polished wooden floor track, if you want to be competitive its a new set of four tyres every 4 RUNS. You can stretch them out to 2 meetings but performance drops off if the track temperature is low.

You cant be going quickly enough

If all you wanna do is bash, Stick to monster trucks and things like that if youre worried about tyres! - Keep it on the grass or a muddy feild.

Racing can be expensive yes, If you cant undertake the costs as poor as it sounds dont do it?

This is going round in circles now. Stampede you've complained you're skint and a good number of members have offered constructive advice on how to save money whilst still enjoying bashing and also explained why the BRCA and affiliated clubs charge what they do (a reasonable amount BTW), and still you complain. You just seem unable to grasp any points fellow members have posted and now you squeal wanting the thread closed.:thumbdown :

If you like closing threads so much, why dont you have a bash at cross stitch. Its very cheap, im sure the CSAC - www.crossstitchassociatitionclub.co.uk would point you in the right direction.
