Morris 1000 Van like this one without the RM stickers

used it to transport a motorcycle to race meetings back in 1978. Remember replacing the wings with fibre-glass items and digging around in the chassis channel to repair master cylinders. Also fitted oil, water volts gauges to it in front of the steering wheel. Got 40 miles from home on the way to Snetterton and my brother noticed the oil pressure at zero . Walked to farm to use a phone to summon help, no mobiles in 78. Dad turned up with gallon of oil and the origanal pressure switch. Journey continued.

If your driving is as bad as your spelling you'll be dead in a week. There is a reason why insurance for young lads is expensive - to make sure they don't get fast cars and kill people.

Still don't know what you mean, but I pay for my insurance. Always have.

edit: of course it's faster than a saxo.

You have been driving for three weeks and already almost done 140mph when you have little sense in car control i give you three more weeks before you loose your licence!
Il stick with my mini cooper which can do upto 80mph flat out!

Just DO NOT CRASH into my mini!

Also its Teenager "Chav"s like you mate that's makes other Sensible Teenagers insurance as dear as it is!

Rant over

This was my 1st bought with my own money (I don't count the shitty Micra 1.0 I stole the keys from my mum on the day I passed my test and didn't give them back for a year!)

Ford Cortina Mk2 1300 Deluxe - bought in 1992 from widow of the original owner - think it's still going! Clutch went 2 weeks after I bought it, driving through Bristol city centre.....

Then bought this 2 door Mk2 with a 1.6 low compression engine with even less compression than intended! Swapped the motor a few times, but best spec was a 90 thou overbore 711M blocked 1700cc with Emerald P3 cam and roller rockers to keep the top end in 1 piece! First car i ever crashed....it's now white and fitted with a V8

Then went VW for a few years (Mk1 Golf GTI, Passat GL5), then Citroen (BX 16V, ZX 1.8 Furio, Xsara VTS)

You do realise that it doesn't actually take any skill to get a car up to a high speed...

Default tripod

i was a biker to start with (16 to 21)
so my first car was a robin reliant
bought for 200 of a mad old man
bought it home in a horse box that my farmer mate had. it just fitted with half inch to spare all round . it was ace. more room than a mini good for getting freaky in the back of it to . you could drop the back seats it was like a small van.
ragged it . they drift a treat. but never rolled it. 2 wheels was regular thing though.
had three in a row in the end they were mint. many funny times.had one that did 97 mph.( downhill screaming) very very scary.
then i got my car license and got a 205 diesel. also great but not qiute as funny. it did run on veg oil though 55p a litre ...60mpg

I passed my test in december and up until now i havent got myself a car. But on friday i should be picking up my first car. Its Y reg polo 1.4 mpi 60K on the clock in metallic blue. Needs a little bit of work. Its due for a cambelt change and the bonnet needs a respray other than that is in good condition. Totally chuffed to have my own car.

Personally I agree with everything said about young drivers being unexperianced and doing silly things. Ive had 2 friends killed in car accidents. The most recent was just before christmas, then having to follow his the funeral cortege on one of my driving lessons was certainly a chilling reminder and when ever i pass where the crash happened i get a chill down my spine. Also recently I was involved in a car crash with a young unexperianced driver where i was a passenger. We had been out for the day to the beach and i didnt really want to go as I didnt trust her driving. But i didnt want to leave the two girls who i went with by themselves just incase something happened (crash, puncher etc) On the way back my worst fears became a reality....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So yea slow down and dont be nutters guys leave the mad driving to the toy cars thats what i do...

Really looking forward to my car now

Ash

Default first car

Well my first car, wasn't all mine, so my first shared car, was a white c-plate Metro (like all metro's, it squealed in first gear). When this went to get fixed at the local metro specialist, he loaned us his car (my mate was told when we should have it back but didn't tell me). When we took it back (late), our car was in the car park opposite with smashed windows, flat tyres, engine missing (I think). The mechanic had gotten "annoyed" with us let's say. Anyway, instead of pressing charges, he bought us a replacement x or y reg fiesta which we had for about a year.

My first car of my own, is my current car, which is a Focus 1.9TDi estate, which I bought (am still buying at an extortionate rate - thank you Welcome Finance) a month or so after passing my driving test, on my tenth attempt (well, my 8th really, forgot my licence for two of them).

aaaah, I detect a wind up going on, or a total knob, either ways...

Anyhows, first vehicle was a Kawasaki AR125 that got stolen twice!

Then a Metro 1.0 in Denim Metallic Blue, apart from the primer black front wings.
Subaru Justy Van (that went everywhere)
VW Jetta
Renault 19td
Toyota Carina
Ford Sierra 1.8 (was mint till the ex started driving)
Renault 21 estate
Toyota Town Ace
Peugot 405 estate
Renault Espace
Chrysler Voyager

inbetween

Honda CB400 Wet Dream
Kawasaki GPZ500
and some old Honda I rebuilt

Ah, I love the AR125, especially the green one! That actually makes my first car, my BMW C1 then, which is a bike not a car.
