Phil, if you have a few things to buy try and visit both shops. Jez will probably have more of the current stock that you may want but you NEED to visit Peter also as he is the stuff legends are made of.

Well I... Wouldn't exactly put it in those terms captain, but those are essentially the facts.

the track had matts in the centre, and over to the right, the ones in the centre were ace! they unsettled the cars but very driveable which is gooooood.

The ones on the right were simply evil and wrong

Just for anyone who doesn't have email:

Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for entering the Supercup 2007 event, just a few reminders before the event on Sunday.
The address of our indoor venue (directions here http://www.batleybuggyclub.co.uk/maps.html ), is
Batley Sports & Tennis Centre,
Windmill Lane,
Howden Clough,
Batley,
West Yorkshire
WF17 0QD
Doors will open 07:30 and the fee payable on the day is £8 per entry.

There will be 2 shops on site, stocking most regular spares & tyres etc.

We anticipate qualifying to be round by round, with the best 2 scores from 4 rounds to count. Practice will start around 8am and very likely be 4 min slots in HEAT ORDER, so please be ready to go. Drivers brief at 09:30, racing soon after. We would ideally like to make last booking in at 08:30, so please get booked in as soon as you arrive.

CML have once again supported the event, and donated some excellent items, which we will offer as raffle prizes. A big thanks to CML for their support!!

With a full capacity meeting of 130 entrants pitting space will be at a premium, so we would again ask everyone to consider the amount of equipment they bring, and where possible sharing tables would be a great help. Mains power is very limited, and drivers are advised to make alternate arrangements for charging (e.g. 12v leisure battery).

Club members (and other willing volunteers), track building is on the Saturday between 14:30 and 16:30. The sports centre is not in use after 16:30, so those ACTIVELY helping set out the track, will be able to set their pit tables on the Saturday.

* A final and important note, the event is over subscribed and we still have a reserve list for 4wd. If you are unable to attend, or know of anyone else who is not coming, PLEASE let me know. If you don't turn up after booking in, you will be preventing others from racing.
There are just a couple of spaces in 2wd, so if your interested, please reply promptly.

Many thanks and hope to see you all on the day !!

I'll be doing it Saturday morning.
Dianne suggested not to publish on web, for various reasons, but it will be there for track building Saturday.
(G - If your not coming I'll PM you your heat/xtal details)

Cheers John, don't understand why you can't publish it, but up to you.

If you could give me an idea that would be great.

Cheers,

Sorry to bring up something from a few days ago but oh well.

I dont know if this is true but ive been told by someone who owns a shop that asked the mirage rep and acroding to her he said:
"He said that Team Orion have redesigned their batteries, so rather than 5 cells on top each other carring 20% of the charge each, they're now doing them with 50 cells side by side carrying a lot less charge each so if they go bang, they just fizzle a bit rather than full-on fireworks."

Just something ive heard.

Does this concern still exist?

So for me, regardless of ontrack performance, until any safety concerns are clarrified (officially and not by any 'know-it-all' on here) id like to keep them away.
