I'm gonna glue that thing, that will obviously make me gain like 3 secs a lap, and Elvo will cry for telling me this when I'll finish first @ the next GP.

Which foam to use in cut staggers ?
Do everybody agree that narrow work better than slim ? Schum med ? Schum hard ? (I don't have MrO's) Also, for the rear mini spikes yellow we use a lot, schum hard : normal or ultra wide ? Do you cut them ? Thanks ! |

Ludo: Cut staggers, da zijn die nieuwe hé.
I would use foams in them, it's the same as a slim minispike. I would also glue them on a wide wheel, just like slim mini spikes. Take a used foam out of your rear tyres and cut them to the width of your wheel (or a bit wider). They will be way to agressive when glued on a narrow wheel, or without insert. For rear minispikes, it depends on the track and what you want, but I think the best available is schumacher tubbie insert. But you car's setup is much more important than the difference between some foams :-) |

I only have a 7.5T for now. (B4.1) OK for long and/or grippy tracks, but a bit touchy on slippy ones.
Do anybody use ETA to lower a bit the throttle sometimes ? I perfectly know it's not the best way to do it, and that a 9.5T or 10.5T (or changing the pinion/spur) would be a better idea, but still... Any advice/idea/insult ? ![]() edit: thanks wouter for the inserts advices ! |

Put all your speedo settings to lower the power. And loosen your slipper!!!

I said loosen, not too loose

i thought slippers were made to relieve the transmission of stress, especially on bump/ jump receptions...
i just overgear a little , to make the power delivery less twitchy out of corners. then i suppose you can overgear + add slip and how much slip would you reckon is needed for vlijmen ? |

On high grip, if your car can pop a wheelie, or has the slightest tendency to lift the front wheels when you go full throttle (from standing still), the slipper is too tight. While racing, you should never usually use full throttle, and more important, your car is already moving. So when the slipper slips a bit from standing still and hitting full throttle, it will hardly slip while racing. You can set it pretty loose before you will start having problems while racing. A thight slipper will take away all corner exit steering...
In vlijmen you should make sure that your wheels are not slipping too much on full throttle. All wheelslip is lost time and more tyre wear :-) Just make sure you can clear the jump on the astro part, never mind that it slips while accelerating on that part. Slipper pads are not that expensive, and you can grind them after each race to make them as new, so I really don't care that I can hear it slipping while driving. Plus, you can adjust it in 2 seconds, try it, adjust more, etc, all right on the track, you don't even need to go to your pit table to change anything. So it's a great adjustment! Slipper FTW! |

thanks for explaining !
i tried my old secondhand 10.5 and it was powerful enough to clear the astro jumps in vlijmen so i think ill stick with it, and add a little slip , oké goed begrepen ; slipper For The Willy, maar wat voor de jongere en minder ervaren piloten ? |

cant agree more with wouter.
also its the way to safe the transmission and needs to be set spot on , on a 4X4 or you will damage it all.

Just did 5 packs @ kampenhout.
![]() ![]() Damn, cut staggers grip a lot, but it's almost too much... (at least for me) I certainly make some better laps than with regular staggers, but on the other side I won't last 5 minutes without some "gripfliptakeoffcrashes" ![]() I've put schumacher front med this time, without cutting anything. Maybe should I try hard ones next time, to get a little less grip ? Thanks to Chambrant too ! |
