I had one of those for a time, and it worked great - but over time the cats outsmarted it, and they'd take off the micro-second it took to crank up. And I finally gave up on it the morning I found the garden flooded because the hose developed a leak in the middle of the night.

had mine a few years. I take it down after a week and It stops the cats for few months, then they get brave again so i put it up again somewhere else in the garden.
I have not had a problem with mine, anyway neighbour is moving so fingers crossed a non cat lover will be moving in.

I had some fun with next doors cat, I bought a RC Tiger tank that fires bb's. Just park near a bush, aim where the cats use and wait. You'll probably miss with the first couple but the cat will just look puzzled until you hit it! Then you have fun chasing it round the garden, the foolish cat tried to attack the tank by eating the gun barrel! Muzzle first, lol.......I didn't miss, it hasn't been back since!

On the large dusty track the 6.5 would be my first choice. It's got loads of power and is easy to drive smooth on the bottom end. It can be adjusted to gave a huge top end as well when coupled with the RS. For the Pred and any other 4wd offroad car running mods I recomend the Pro versions either R1 or RS Pro.

If you have the R1 Pro and want to use a sensroless motor my choice would be the 362 or the 448. The 448 being my first choice.

I should be getting a Pred myself to run here soon so I'll have a lot more input for you.

An update on the situation. The dam cat got used to the sonic deterrent and carried on crapping right in front of it after just 3 days. The seller just gave me a full refund so there are some decent sellers on ebay.
After a week of it ignoring the sonic gizmo I took the advice of earlier posts and got some Silent Roar lion manure pellets. Put them in boiling water in a watering can and watered all the grass and borders. The cat came over for its morning routine stopped dead looked round like it was going to be mugged and ran like hell back over the fence. It has not been near my garden once since not even for a short cut home. I dont get them pissing on my car or garage and front door now and just to keep them scared I recorded a few lion and tiger roars on my phone which I play now and again just to let them know something big is out there.
