God, you fall asleep on the sofa for a while and you lot go off your tits and talk a load of crap!

No Lipo, it came from PW so it is the law. Well, unless you want to run in a separate final and not score points.

Not your faults, but I'll be having a word with Teesside.

This is how confusion happens, people see dates and they become gospel.

at Ben and josh
just because lipos are allowed doesn't mean you have to run them
and if you believe theres that much performance difference your sadly ill informed
just makes things easyer for those that has em

Fully agree Carl (!), it's like brushless in 2wd over brushed - there's no real performance advantage (if anything brushed is better suited to 2wd than brushless) but it's just easier. From my experiments with 5 cells this year I could run 5 cells and say a 5.5 or even 4.5, performance would be on a par with Lipo/6.5 and the car would be more or less at minimum weight so there's no advantage there.

I can't wait for Lipo as it will be much cheaper in the long run than NiMh as well as easier. Currently I buy 8 packs of cells at the beginning of every season, assuming £35 a pack thats £280 per year. With Lipo if I could get away with 1 pack per car and they last me 2 years, thats £70 a year or so. Even with the expense of a Lipo charger it's more than payed for itself in the first year, you could get 2 chargers and still be up on NiMh

I'm not too fussed about running them this year, just like when brushless started to be widely used it's changing all the time and as soon as you buy somthing it's obsolete. I would like to give one a try (Mark!! ) but for the moment I'll happily let everyone else beta test them for me before I part with any cash

after watching people run lipos iam looking to invest in a pack its like brushless hassle free and you dont need to carry a case full of nimh its makes racing cheaper in the long term and how mamy times have we seen 4200 nmih go bang ive not seen lipo's go pop yet.

Lee, if by Durham you mean NERCR, I hope we aren't holding a regional on 6th and 7th April, just incase anyone is making arrangements.

I have provisionally booked our venue, and its not for then!!!

Isn't the first weekend in Aprl the interclub??

So any dates, the Mrs has me quite booked up for the summer now as I couldn't say no. Hope I can still complete a series in at least one class.

Yes, you can camp over at the NERCR regional on both the Friday and Sat nights, though you wont be permitted to use BBQs or anything that will ignite the grass.
