Spot on comment there from SlowOne, in my opinion we are looking at a golden generation of drivers, by far the best since the Piquet, Senna, Prost, Mansell era. Even drivers in paid seats look pretty convincing this year.

For me Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel have a very slight edge over the rest but it's not much and that next group is probably the biggest ever. Rosberg, Button, Webber, Kobayashi, Diresta (soon), Petrov is growing into it very well. Shame about Kubica as that's yet another top guy maybe on that top tier.

I'd be interested to hear from the people who slag of these drivers when they they've seen a better crop of drivers.

You do realise Lewis was in F1 for the year before he Won the World Championship? Hardly think he had a jump on all the other drivers during his 2nd season just because he'd raced GP2 before that lol.

I don't like him that much but looks like he is unstoppable in the current package he has. Good Luck to him as long it doesn't turn into another Ferrari /Schumacher repeat.

Bring back in season testing and you'll soon see his lead cut down quite comfortably...

If you bring back testing to the level of previous seasons i agree.
The teams with the biggest budgets (ferrari) straight back at the front.
I think its better now and the last few series have been the best for years.

Not sure it's better, but it is different. I seem to remember that after Bahrain last season, when we had a procession of a race, the perceived wisdom was that getting rid of refueling was the biggest mistake ever, and we were in for a complete season of snorefests. Well that wasn't exactly the best prediction ever...!!

So, after four races we wonder if Vettel is unstoppable. An interesting thought, but no way I'll run down to the betting shop and put money on him. Still 14 races to go...

I would, on the other hand, put money on an Adrian Newey car winning the World Championship as long as he is in the sport, and whatever team he is in.

Barring any stupid crashes like he,s capable of or reliability problems which atm seem unlikley even though they have problems with kers the title seems decided already.
The only chance anyone has now is if teams decide to toss a coin and let one driver take him out and the other go for win. lewis to take him out, he was good at that today.
