I think if it did come to it i think lewis hamilton may say no and let kimi keep it he is that type of guy. Lewis has got alot of life left in him and many world championships where kimi had been about for a while

Well McLaren wouldn't say no, it's all business. Apart from the fact he would be ahead on points, that would make him the champ.
Now on formula1.com, Williams involved too. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlin...7/10/7023.html |

Lewis Hamilton could yet be crowned world champion after Brazilian Grand Prix stewards summoned representatives of BMW Sauber and Williams for alleged technical irregularities.
A BMW spokeswoman told Reuters that the investigation concerned fuel temperatures. Williams driver Nico Rosberg finished fourth, with BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld fifth and sixth respectively. Should they be disqualified, Hamilton would be promoted to fourth place, enough to see him crowned as world champion. Kimi Raikkonen won the race and, should the orginal result stand, claimed the world title by one point from both Hamilton and his McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso. More to follow... Sky sports

I don't think lewis wuld want to win it in this way either....but.... would you want to finish 4,5,6, knocwing that your cars were illegal? If they cheated then...tough!
It would be a shame for Kimi though. Quote:

Well this may come as a suprise but :
The BMW Sauber and Williams teams have escaped penalty after being investigated by Brazilian Grand Prix stewards over fuel irregularities on their cars at the end of Sunday’s Interlagos race. Under Formula One racing’s technical regulations fuel temperatures are not allowed to fall more than 10 degrees Celsius below ambient air temperature at any time. According to FIA data, Williams and BMW Sauber exceeded this range during the race, but after lengthy deliberations stewards chose not to impose sanctions. However, McLaren are expected to appeal the stewards' decision, which if overturned could have serious implications for the 2007 drivers' championship. Nico Rosberg finished fourth for Williams, with Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld fifth and sixth respectively for BMW Sauber. If they were to be disqualified, Lewis Hamilton would move up to from seventh to fourth, giving him enough points to beat Kimi Raikkonen to the title. ![]()

Im sorry but the rule was broken, it should be clear cut. They just don't want to cause an uproar.

It will have been Bernies plan all along - to quote Stu.
There will be no penalties, it would look to messy and Bernie won't allow it. He smooth things over ![]() ![]() G

I don't think anything will come of it - but if it had been 3 or 4 races back i think it would be a different story - they wouldn't be directly affecting the championship so would have been brave enough to enforce the rules unlike this weekend they'll be too scared to rock the boat and throw F1 even deeper into controversey.
Shame for Lewis but McLaren have really cost him the title this year, not his errors or decisions - i think they'll learn from it and next year as long as they build a good car he'll take some beating. Oh yeah and that Donkey faced Spanish tool will be leaving for Renault all being well so i'm sure all will be glad to see the back of him after this year, i don't think anyone had him down as such a c0ck until he proved them otherwise in 2007 ![]()
