I'm considering upgrading my DB01 basher to a proper racing car, but I'd like to hear from people who have driven both the 502 and 511 (preferably Lee Martin
![]() I understand the potential 'torque steer' issues, but does it actually make a noticeable difference? Is there more acceleration from the shaft drive? I'm leaning towards the 511 mainly because of the amount of shared parts with the DB01, which I'll be keeping for bashing, but the 511 seems much harder to find right now. |

Howdy.
once i have run the 511 and the 502 back to back i will have a detailed comparison... Until then, you cant go wrong with either of them, the 511 was and still is a fantastic car and the 502 seems to be following in its footsteps!!! Lee

Well parts in the driveline differ much from the 511, that is obvious being a shaft driven car. Also Front Hinge pins are of a different length. You can use the suspension parts basically which includes all shims, washer, rear hinge pins, Uprights, Castor blocks etc.
