Soz dude I took Lucas to the track in Bury on Monday evening and he crashed it into the tree in the corner after the big jump.
He is deffo a bit too young for racing at the moment but hoping he will get the hang of it soon.
He did enjoy the track and loved the jumps but is getting a bit frustrated trying to run before he can walk so to speak.
Ordered more FT parts and getting it fitted on Friday.

Cheers,

Ordered full set of blue titanium turnbuckles and a set of ball cups from Ben at BMM.
Thanks for the invite. What time are the evening races from/till?
May be past his bedtime and he cant stay on the track for long enough yet.
Cheers,

Normally wraps up around 10ish.

Thomas Sharp will likely be at Denton tomorrow, as he was at Bury on Sunday. I'm not sure exactly how old he is, but he can't be much older than Lucas, and very much a learner, so its not like you son will be a lone obstacle! In fact, Dave has been known to run a sort of 'newbies' heat mainly of racers sons/daughters. Its a marshalling nightmare, but good clean fun for the youngsters, and they'll learn all sorts of useful stuff.

At 8 he is old enough to race

I have 3 sons, aged 4, 8 and 11, and last year the two eldest ones participated in some local club races, witn no problems, I just had to run a lot as we didnt have too many marshals

The youngest at 4 drives a rustler truck, and is getting the hang of it already.

This year we are building a new track about 5 minutes from our house, so that they can get a lot more practise.

Recruiting new people is important, keep up the good work.

Wont be able to go to tonights meeting but please keep me posted when these meetings are on.
Once the car is fixed and he can control it a little better we will come along.
Should keep me fit running around after it anyway.
It would be really good if we go to a race when some other kids are racing.
Thanks

Hi there!

Always good to see new people getting into the hobby!

On a point of 'local' clubs, you could always try Southport...
http://www.srcc.co.uk/

We race there most sundays, although its a regional at Keighly this weekend, check the calendar and you'll find all the relevant info!

Also, feel free to register on the website and ask as many questions as you need to, loads of people are willing to help out!!

Hope to see you at southport ome time soon!

Tom
