O and you dont race you are a basher
Spot on Carl, and practically word for word what i put in a PM to him. Bad advice can lead beginners to give up on the hobby so it is important they are pointed in the right direction.

Ginge, try the spring trick see if it helps. If not then i think you can move up to a 22/23 pinion as i run a 20/21 on a 6.5
That might help dull the initial take off. Add a few more grams around the front and middle so your car is up around the 1600g mark.
If none of that helps then start reducing the punch on your speedo in 5 or 10% increments. I haven't used your model of speedo so i'm not sure what a typical setting is.

That's exactly why your advise should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Stampy, read back through all your early threads and i think you will see I offered plenty of useful advice. Sadly you took none of it and in fact did the opposite in many cases. That is why I (and most others) have lost interest in helping you.

Do us all a favour and take your car to a track or shop next time you have a problem and let people SHOW you what is wrong instead of trying to describe it in words.

I would say about 75% of the time its far better to get actual hands on advice at the track or shop. Sometimes by just asking advice on a forum you may not give all the relevent details needed for a cure or be able to fully understand the advice given.
If someone experienced can physically show you then you will have 1000% better understanding of what to do in the future plus any other errors you may not have noticed would be picked up on.

The madrat you hated, then bought a B4 which doesn't brake and whose diff slips incessantly, then started saying the madrat was the best...

At least be consistent

As long as they run like a dream
