Stop splitting hairs! Any exposure is better than no exposure, and I have massive faith that the guys gave it all to support the show - what is shown is down to the editors.

I quite enjoyed it. Didn't show as much as I expected knowing how much the lads did there.

Leon, got any sugar?

I must admit, me and the missus had to rewind the sky+ when she said 'RC Champ!' and muttered the words..."Youuuuu whaaaaaat!" lol

Not a bad show though. Well done everyone involved.

I was quite impressed that she almost hit 60, but then again its easily achievable as a lot of guys have done a lot more than that with a brushless system and is on you tube.

Then again as stated below not much was done in such a short time, the car didnt look like it was going that quick, it obvioulsy looked stable enough for a bit more power and would have been interesting to see how fast it would have gone if geared correctly with the correct wind (whatever that would be). It was well set up and thats why it looked like it had a lot more to give. Impressive.

I think it would have achieved more if there was a more experienced driver on the sticks too.

this is true i wanted to put a mamba in the buggy with the 7700kv motor and 6s lipo it would give about 150000 rpm enough for about 110 lol it was well stable at 60 when i tried it but it ran out of gear ratio..

again more time and we would have done stuff diffrent!!

After attending a previous day of filming for The Gadget Show with Phil Booth and Andy Wallis, you just know that a lot of it will be cut.

I think part of the problem is the time in which they have to film the programme and the fact that the presenters are learning all about the products. I have had calls from their researchers before the event but never after when details could be explained and put into context.

Slip-ups happen though like Suzi correctly referring to them as Radio Control car at the start...

That said, I also know Jason is a keen RC enthusiast (flyer I believe) and as excitable in real life as he appears on the TC too!

At the end of the day, TGS is trying to appeal to the newcomer and not the likes of people on this forum who can tell that the Acoms radio was not being uised with the CAT, etc.

It gonna be a good un G!

I've done the shed thing before and it was a naff one and freezing in the winter. Thats why I ended up painting them in the kitchen, before our previous house move.

Don't worry matey, I'll be back sometime next year. At the moment then garden looks like a Jurassic Park set, so that needs sorting first.
I need to get some weed Killer off Mr Helliwell and just nuke the whole garden, before I even get any sheds on site.

Matt, did you get my change of address email?

I havent seen the show yet but reading through this thread jeez half of you guys are a whingeing lot, oh what fun it would be for a beginner reading this main 'Gadget Show' thread to buy a car and race with you.
Give the guys some cred, they made it onto a primetime show.. i'll try and get to watch it later but even if it is crap at least they got some exposure we dont get any on TV do we, i saw some of the vids before it came out which looked cool and pretty funny so the boys did sure put some time and effort in.
