mine sounded ruff as a badgers arse, but the mesh was fine, bought a rw spur, didnt change mesh and quiet as a mouse

I would have to say your on to something here. I've stopped my build due to belt going through outer covers grabs on side and pulls up. Nasty sound and vibration. I've been building cars for 30 years & have never seen this(including an original cat). If you pull 1 side off it's fine, put it back on & right back to massive noise and vibration. I'm lost and this really sucks! Guess it's time to email schumacher.

Thanks Mark. I was a little lost when i first read this. Then i read it again, looked again, & after a few times it clicked. Smooth as a babies bottom now.
