Thanks i'll have to try that on one of my next ones (i've got another 3 shells to practice on!) the first one wasnt that adventurous really, there was no fade effects on it, apart from yellow and silver at the front which i did with a spray can because the shop didnt have any yellow in jars. I'm definately going to invest in some liquid mask as the paint bled in a few places. I'm just looking around for ideas at the moment.

What paint did you use for that shell? I guess i could do a similar thing with silver instead of chrome? I like playing around with metal flakes so might put a layer of them on first

spaz stix for the colored chrome. indeed, play around with different backings to achieve different effects.



pics are abit grainy. light was abit dull. nevermind

cheerz nessy!

gurdeep-cheerz for takin the time to look through mate. i did use a cutter to save time, more accurate aswell. always good practice to cut stuff by hand aswell now n then though. gotta keep them blade skillz up.

ok... a lot of the pro painters seem to use vinyl cutters.. but sounds very expensive. i dnt think i have the skill to cut something like that by hand though, its way to intricate!? can you/do you sell the cut shapes for the flowers? pm me if you do

Thanks once again Jon! I cant believe spas stix even make holographic paint! How do they do that?! Think i'll have to buy more shells to practice on...

been busy making a new painting arena so havent had much time to post but am back painting now. thankfully
heres a few pics to have a goosey at, will get some more up at some point.
